Surprised to see Makarova fav in the final tonight, thought Goerges played very well last night under a fair bit of pressure. Would it be the fact she had a long match early this morning which is dictating the odds in this final, don't follow a lot of tennis apart from the big events, but watched the Goerges match this morning and enjoyed it.

think it's more that Makarova is basically a top 10/top 20 player, who just hasn't had the results in recent years because of injuries, but has been showing some form this week. Having had an easier SF plays into it a bit too.

rybarikova already went up a break up 3 times in the 1st set and gave it straight back. lepchenko will take this set I guess

Going also by an earlier match I watched Lisicki v Dodin which I thought was really poor match, both players were shocking. So my assumption was Dodin would get wasted in her next match, but was surprised it went to 3 sets, so I'm basically making an assessment that Makarova can't be that good going by how close match was. So will happily take Goerges in this match on this very flimsy form line judgement call.
