The SST loss was as bad as it gets really at tour level. SST on hard court is about as bad a player you can hope to play at tour level, outside local waitress WC's.

She wore Genie down basically. Her fitness levels aren't very good despite her slender appearance.

Being slender doesn't really mean anything with regards to fitness though.

who will retire from tennis first out of the Gangnam Style gang: Maria, Laura or Genie?

Laura. I think Laura will retire by end of next year if she's still doing same as now.

This was the risk to play ITF's anyway. It surprised me when she entered, because although she'd been in freefall in recent months, it wasn't like her losing streak was long, and she actually did quite well in Australia. And while people talk about confidence building, the problem is she basically has to win it, or it's more confidence destroying surely?

Bouchard then Caramba.

imo Laura first, then Genie when she gets $50m from USTA, Maria will play on another five years to keep the Sugarpova brand as strong as possible.

Verdasco mugging some more

I don't see Bouchard retiring anytime soon. Endorsements will keep rolling in for years as long as she's like a tour level player. I mean yer if she flopped out to like #200 and stayed there, then maybe, but I don't think that's a likely scenario even with as bad as she plays right now.

Maria will retire when she stops being competitive imo. Same with Serena. I can't see her being content with being a journey woman with no real hope of winning the big trophies, so once she drops out of top 10, 20 for playing reasons I expect her to retire soon after.

Also unless Bouchard does get like $50m from USTA, it's not like she will have made enough money to retire on living the celebrity lifestyle. Especially as her celebrity lifestyle depends on her being a tennis player anyway.

I backed sock 2-0 at 4's. Lopez is playing medvedev in Monte carlo next week and fiasco is out of Housten. They surely will be sitting next to each other on the flight home if sock cops the hell on
