Well Well Coric you clown I knew you'd mug it 101 tipsters favoured this mug to one tipster on match-stat. ha ha!

The people on matchstat aren't really tipsters though, they're just competing in their competition.

Is it though. Because the people "tipping" them don't even care less about the price, as they're not risking any money. It's just trying to run up as a big a virtual bank as possible to win a competition. Therefore encouraging you to bet on as many matches as possible.

Imo it has no real ties to people who are really betting on matches.

And of course the people aren't really tipsters at all. I would guess the overwhelming majority of people playing their game aren't betting real money at all.

you can't argue the majority of the money would have been on Coric though n88

mugstat should be updating retirement history on players instead of playing these silly games.

Yep Everyone would of went to Coric, I like to use match stat as an indicator when more people are on the underdog and the pricing then looks wrong.  any other alternatives to mugstat?

Well obviously. But isn't most the money always on the favourite.

In a sense where the money is irrelevant also. Because backing x, normally = laying the other guy if they're odds on.

Using matchstat is really no different to using a forum poll. In fact it's probably worse, because you won't have as many opinions as you probably think you do, as it's easy to create multiple accounts for their comp, and people likely will be doing that.

By:

What I am saying basically is there's a difference to "who do you think will win" and "who is value to win". People on matchstat and forum polls are mainly doing the former rather than the latter.

That comp is a waste of time really. I did it for a few weeks when it was shiny and new at the end of last season (wasn't it after WTA season had ended?). And it just becomes too much of a distraction/chore to bother with it. Plus the fact it's virtual means you don't care as much obviously. Especially as by definition of the game rules, to win, you've either got to be really lucky and go on a huge winning streak. Or be around literally 24/7 on it.
