I was thinking Stan and then changed think Nisikori will win this but this is appalling start
By:
it was always gonna start this way Dado
By:
Stan is goating so far. Can he keep it up?
By:
Nishikori awful 2nd game, Wawrinka serving very good to start - 1-0 in sets to Wawrinka.
By:
set isn't even over though. funny market, Stan 1.6 already
By:
Hope Stan goes a set and a break up and then I'll lay him.

By:
these courts are quite slow. this helps Stan.

Stan started like this in their U.S. Open match as well.
By:
sure did

By:
he always starts fantastic. his tennis ability is TOP CLASS. his physical conditioning is medicore.
By:
mediocre*

By:
set Stan
By:
SO lame from Nisikori come WTF was that
By:
that is a very poor set of tennis for Kei.
Not enough on his serve and groundies are wild or short and sitting there for stan to tee off. One winner for me off this first set. |
By:
1.49 without the set, 1.57 with the set on Stan

By:
seems nishikori is too far back as well. not going to win the match from back there.
By:
Welshie, do not ignore the physical aspect of tennis. I agree if Stan can play that well for 3 sets it's a steamroller, but as he gets more tired he'll start making more errors.
By:
What about Nishi? Is he going to get tired over time?
![]() |
By:
yes, but personally I don't think it effects his game as much as it effects Stan's 'all or nothing' style
By:
black stream anyone?
By:
Stan outplayed Djokovic last year q/f after gruelling 5 sets! Not sure if Nshi is capable of that thing.
By:
mine working fine
By:
on bet365.
By:
2.7 is a great price on Nishi
By:
By:
Nishi will lose this in straights.
By:
...and then Waw will be overhyped in s/f against Djoko. So, I will expect some free muuney there.

Don't think either of these two stand a chance against Djoko.
By:
If he can lose USO final to Cilic in straights, then he can lose it to anyone...almost.
By:
I take what you are saying about the fitness thing, but Nish isn't making Wawrkina run as much as he could.
These points aren't long enough to take his legs away that much. Stan is serving very well and Nishikori isn't. I think it is still close, but Stan in 3/4 for me. |
By:
took a loss on Nishi on 2.7, making way too many errors for my liking
