December is almost here, and that means it's time for Caramba's Countdown to Christmas, which is a Bit by Bit trivia which will start on December 1st and end on December 24th. It will be in the form of an advent calendar, for each day there'll be a trivia where the correct answer is a tennis person, and by answering correctly you will get points. I will start off every day by giving a hard/vague clue (5 pts level) and then the clues will get easier later (4 pts, 3 pts, 2 pts, 1 pt) in the day. You may answer whenever you like but you only get to answer once per day.
If for instance you answer on the 4 pts level and are correct you will earn 4 pts. If you are wrong you are done for the day and are not allowed anymore guesses on that day, that means you're not allowed to answer on the 3 pts, 2 pts or 1 pt level either that day
, so it's a bit of a gamble. On the other hand, by not answering, there's always the risk that someone else will answer correctly before you do and get the points for that day.
Only one person will get points during a day, so once a question has been answered correctly points will be awarded and you will have to wait for the next day for the opportunity to earn new points.
I can not give a guaranteed time table for when the clues will be posted because it will depend on my schedule, but my plan is to post the 5 pts clue shortly after 1.00 am CET (midnight UKT) and then the remaining ones around 5-6 am (4-5 UKT), 3 pm (2 pm UKT), 6.30 pm (5.30 pm UKT) pm and 11 pm (10 pm UKT), but this is tentative so please allow for flexibility. I will update the scoring daily.
The winner will be the person who will have most points after December 24th. At this time, there is no prizing associated with the contest other than the good feeling associated with achieving victory over other contestants.

If for instance Ivan Lendl is the person I'm looking for it could be look this:
5 pt) This person has changed nationalities
4 pt) Was very close to winning a Career Grand Slam but didn't quite make it.
3 pt) Has held the record for most weeks as World No 1
2 pt) Reached 8 consecutive USO finals in the 80's
1 pt) Had great success as Andy Murray's coach in recent years.

Yes!!! Her Slam debut was USO 11 final, the Serena/Stosur match. Uncle Toni didn't appreciate her giving Rafa a time violation warning at Australian Open this year. Other clues were 3 p) She's not afraid to speak up when others are quiet or say something wrong (likes to overrule), 2 p) ... and when someone is making noise when they're not supposed to she'll step in as well, ask Virginie Razzano or Serena Williams (is known for her hindrance calls), 1 p) This Greek umpire often has her hair in a ponytail.

4 p) ... but has been a bad influence on others (the Hingis curse), 3 p) Announced her retirement from tennis over ten years ago, 2 p) ... but has made several returns since and won two titles in 2014, 1 p) The Swiss Miss became the youngest ever Slam winner when she won the Australian Open 1997.

Steffi Graf is of course correct. Can't believe so many were owned by the Sabine clue Devil, but it was, as arrong mentioned in another thread, Sabine Hack who bageled Graf (Berlin Open 1993). Graf herself has handed out +20 double bagels in her career and is married to Andre Agassi, another former world number one. Final clue was 1 p) This German woman is by many considered to be the greatest of all time.
