This USELESS MEGA THREAD is KILLING this forum, where are all the match threads?  there is a slam going on

they have destroyed a once flourishing forum, nobody will make any new threads as there is always chat going on in the SPAM thread where you have a 'CLIQUE' that talk amongst themselves, chatting about several matches at once it's USELESS and POINTLESS, and when a thread is created, it gets a pitiful amount of replies as all the other regulars don't bother anymore ,THESE MEGA THREADS SHOULD BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY, a lot of SOCCER talk too!

the posters below have DESTROYED THE FORUM

WISEWORDS -  138,513 posts  (One hundred and thirty eight thousand, five hundred and thirteen!!! )
AARONH - 110,334 posts (One hundred and ten thusand. three hundred and thirty four !!!)
EDY -  60,547 posts
N88UK -  57042 posts
CARAMBA - 55,968 posts
smb360 - 52,858 posts
MIKE-LFC - 51,564 posts
AZ91- 44,009 posts
SABINE IS GOAT - 28,348 posts  (only been here since phucking MARCH)

^^^^Nearly 600,000 posts between these 8 , the tennis forum MAFIA, I mean, phuck me, you have to wonder how they get time wash let alone sleep or eat

THIS FORUM HAS GONE TO POT !!!!

The TENNIS megathread is great for information like that Wink

I would say this - anyone can write what they want, where they want and others should respect it.

On the other hand, there are the numbers - 61,404 posts, 52,161 views at the time of writing this. That says it all.

Don't know how others, but I don't have the time to search for some piece of information to some tennis match in that, with all due respect to everyone posting in the thread. Looking at the ratio, I think others have given up also...

Have a nice day and green all over your markets.

The retort is always to make your own threads.

There is no point whatsoever in doing that. A thread on just about the best women's match of the tournament yesterday got 43 replies. This did used to be one of the better forums in terms of information and humour within threads. Are the megathreads totally to blame for the tennis forum having gone so badly downhill? No they're not. Have they contributed to it going downhill? Undoubtedly.

the megathread users could all go elsewhere and use a chat room or something and the place would still be dead

The biggest blame is that bf have closed down the forum except for letting some people trigger in after having been active for 6 months.

It's only natural that people from I don't know how many years ago leave and move on - and do so not because of any specific threads.

If you look through the pages, people had long moaned about the forum going to the sh1ts long before any mega thread had ever been opened. Userbase had already gone down dramatically and with it the quality of posts.

I can't deny that the mega threads, as a sympton of the dying forum, has accelerated the dying process, but they are certainly not the primary cause and even without them I very much doubt the forum would be that much more alive. It's not exclusive to tennis either. All the other subforums are deserted compared to what they used to be as well. That is without them being plagued, destroyed and haunted by any mega threads.

One last from me - I stopped with the Mega Thread because of all the cussing, insults and general 'gambler mentality' which exists there. There are various names which stand out for me, but there is no point in mentioning them.
When I first joined I was only 20 and I found there to be some really knowledgeable people on there. Sadly, this is no longer the case.

tweedy, that kind of behavior was much, much more prevalent in normal match threads. Which is part of the reason some people even completely recluded to megathreads or went back to them after wanting to discuss in match threads. They couldn't bare all that abuse from the match threads.
