I read if you have a PS3 or XBox360 already, you can also get the game for those first. If you buy it online at least. They'll give you another copy for the current generation as well until sometime in mid January iirc.

Yeah haven't been a gamer for years now. Not sure why I don't enjoy it as much as most. Doesn't feel satisfying for some reason. I wonder if gambling has anything to do with it lol. It's a sad day if I enjoy watching a WTA tennis match more than the creativity and challenge that goes with some games. |

I'm just thinking about picking up a next gen console. With Ebay and Gumtree these days if you grow tired of it you can just sell it easily and lose $100 or so. On another forum: Destiny checklist. FPS games Scifi themes Loot systems RPG/MMO levelling up style Option to play solo or cooperatively Various game types (Campaign, Strike, Raid, PvP) If you answered yes to many of these then maybe this game is for you? Overall: "Do you like being a total badass and killing multiple alien races with a combination of magical powers and kickass weaponry" |

In years to come they will be half the price
 I should think they will be reduced somewhat by the spring (after they make money off people buying them for Christmas).But it's not just the price of the consoles, it's that all the games are £50 brand new, the used game market won't be booming yet, and many of the games are available on last gen consoles anyway (for less money - and lots of commentators have suggested that the differences between last gen and new gen versions of the same game aren't especially stark). Finally, I've heard a lot of people saying this is the most underwhelming set of console launches they can remember. I will eventually pick up one or both but not for at least a year. |

Cheers for the reply smb. Some food for thought. I guess it depends on how good Destiny is. I've never been one to wait a year or more when I could just pay $100 or so more.
Forza Horizon 2 Master Chief Collection Project Cars Destiny GTA5 All coming out within the next 3 months. So it's a good time coming up. Re. game prices. In Aus we have long been ripped off. But these days you can buy brand new $60AU at any retailer. Surely you can do better than 50Pounds? |

Destiny is on last gen, as is GTA 5 and almost all of that Halo collection
not sure about Forza Horizon 2 and no idea what 'Project Cars' is and no, brand new next gen games will all be £45-£50 |

I have had an X360 for this entire console cycle and still have a massive backlog of used games I've bought + I use a site called Boomerang where I rent unlimited games 2 at a time (free postage, just send them back in what they came in) for about £12.50 a month
I also plan to buy a PS3 to play the exclusives at some point and then I'll buy next gen but thinking about it will probably take me more than a year to 'catch up' with last gen  so I'll probably bite the bullet sooner |

Yeah fair enough I hear you. When you've got a catalogue that's huge and still haven't played all the best games, there's not really a compelling reason to upgrade right now.
... Have you played The Last of Us on PS3/PS4? I've been a gamer since the NES days and dude, that game is incredible. If you don't plan on buying a PS4 and purchase a PS3 for that game alone.. it will be money well spent. In my top 3 of GOAT games. A brilliant game that does storytelling and immersion like no other. |

If there's a good chance you'll get a PS4 in the future, hold off and buy the Remastered version for that.
It's the way the game should be played. 1080p+60fps vs. 30fps is night/day for a game like that. |

try Dark Souls (first one) if you haven't, best game of the last console cycle imo ... it's not to everyone's taste and can be brutally punishing, but if you get into it you will have the most rewarding gaming experiences and it's worth trying (and persevering with if you find it hard to start)
