Raonic is ~ 1.52 in the match.

Normally this means all other things equal his outright odds will drop by 20/1.52 =13.15....
so landing at 13 or 14, if he beats Kyrgios.
I'm using the idea that if you back Raonic for €10 the first round and reinvest winnings each round , that this is the same as backing outright 10€ at the start.
Obviously odds are influenced by if a favorite goes out or Raonic struggles in 5 sets or wins 6-0, 6-0, 6-0
Tons of variables.

My question is how can Raonic outright be the same odds as Krygios to win Wimbeldon outright? You could say they are equally likely to win it but then their match odds should be in the 1.85-2.15 range each.
Rather than 1.52 saying Raonic is gonna win 66% of the time.

I suspect both markets are mispriced but not going to put the house on it.

Krgios may be underpriced in the tournament market IMO, as he will struggle with stamina after his previous games now. I think Raonic should take care of him today, given relative freshness. They also played recently (this year) and was straight sets Raonic.

Kyrgios wins today Wink

KYRGIOS for me first player to excite me long time yersterday never looked like loosing to Nadal when ahead and he is just as ferocious in serve and return and grass 11 straight victories for a teen with over 100aces at wimbledon. Stanima wont be an issue only if in the nadal victory zone still but he looks level headed to me. close yes but all on Kyrgios

market giving Kyrgios a much better chance of doing a Becker-like run if he survives today than Raonic beating Fed/Wawa and Djoker/Murray. Same was 2012 after Rosol bt Nadull, was a dog vs Kohli (2.5 iirc) and much lower outright (more than half the odds); Kohli won

Reminds of when the Scud made a name for himself beating Sampras at the Oz Open. Lost his next match to Mark Woodforde. Will be hard for the kid to back up after that but gee have we discovered a talent. And, he's an Ozzie ExcitedCoolLove

BigMac giving him a chance to do a BeckerShocked

no one off this kid will be a big star

will be a big star - but a 5-setter followed by that brutal match v Nadal, got to take some toll facing the Raonic serving.
Report stu July 2, 2014 12:03 PM BST
if he'd had another day off may have had more chance.

Price crashing in on Raonic - wondering if some know Kyrgios is feeling the effects
Report appformat July 2, 2014 12:50 PM BST
yes Kyrgios now 3.7, after being 2.9 earlier today....
someone knows something..
Report Platini July 2, 2014 1:20 PM BST
I expect he can and should beat Raonic today, and maybe he'll have a chance v an ageing Fed in the semi, but that's as good as it gets. He ain't no Becker.

Becker would not have scraped past Gasquet in 5 sets.

Murray would eat that serve for breakfast, then p1ss all over his game.

Murray has bigger fish to fry right now ScaredExcited
Report therhino July 2, 2014 1:55 PM BST
He will be Scottish again in an hour or so at this rate Mischief
Report Platini July 2, 2014 1:57 PM BST
no surprises there, he always gets into a battle before the semis

are you taking the piss? how much you had to drink?

his serve was what won him the match against Nadal, if I had to choose which player I don't want returning my serve.. it wouldn't be Andy ****g Murray LaughLaugh

Report Platini July 2, 2014 2:49 PM BST
on grass, Murray is the best returner of serve in the world. Joker a close 2nd.

Both would absolutely laugh at Kyrgios' serve.
Report SecondComing July 2, 2014 2:50 PM BST
Joker knows how to convert a breakpoint, have him higher on the list than the Scot
Report Platini July 2, 2014 2:52 PM BST
I would too on every other surface, but not grass. Esp at Wimbledon.
Report SecondComing July 2, 2014 3:30 PM BST
I guess Murray will be laughing from the comfort of his armchair Laugh

Raonic 1.38 was crazy low. 1.42 is still low.
Report stu July 2, 2014 6:58 PM BST
Stamina/fatigue was always going to play the part.
