If she came across rude in that interview, it's probably owing to the inanity of the questioning. "What number racquet did you use to win?" and "Try not to fall over in the final" would be enough to rub me up the wrong way as well.
In fact all on-court interviews I've seen at this Open have been dire. Reducing Bouchard's achievements after her win the other day to, in a nutshell, "You're really pretty, who do you fancy?" just about says it all. They're fools. |
