murray is value here im afraid. Roger just can't compete with his game these days, as we have seen in previous encounters. Murray will also target Fed's one-handed backhand. He's serving great, has honed up the backhand down-the-line. He's a terrible match-up for the GOAT now. 3-1 from last years semi- and this is a year on. Federer has only deteriorated since then. The only negative for Andy is the back issue. But he's looked fine up until now. I couldn't take odds on on federer now just going on the state of murrays back.

OK Fed straight setted Tsonga. But as we know he is an 'all or nothing' player. Just couldn't outwit him yesterday. Murray has the game to neutralize Federer quite easily now.

Murray has just had surgery on the back and shouldn't have an issue, the surgery was meant to help his game, Fed played well today but was never under any pressure whatsoever and Tsonga is and always has been overrated, Murray will not run away with it but Fed is too old now, will play brilliant for a set and a half tho.. Guaranteed*

Muzza drifted in outright market this evening, quite a bit trying to lay him. Looked a bit stiff at times today, maybe got a niggle.

Murray lost a set to Robert. Says enough really. I would not trust him to beat Fed.

Murray's problems are all in his head, makes it hard on himself

that could be the deciding factor

Ive not seen more than 5 minutes of Murray since his return. I have no clue whether he's up to it. Results wise, he looks in good nick. I presume he only has to stay with Federer and worry him out of it like most of the top players do these days. He's got Feds number. Losing a set to Robert is no concern--that's typical Murray. Can't see Murray losing at all.

That's funny, coz that's exactly where Feds problems are! However when their to minds meet, Fed goes flaky. Murray feels mentally dominant over him.

Would be nice to see Murray v Rafa as they seem to have been missing one another for a while now, hope it happens.

Fancy Muzz here, probably in four.  Agree it would be cracking to see a Muzz/Rafa clash after all this time

Nadal's extended absence while Murray collected his first raft of slams was probably the stroke of luck that Andy really needed to kick on.
It could be another classic like their USO semifinal.

I agree Murray is value, against Tsonga, Federer came to net 41 times and won 82 percent of those points, he wont be able to use those tactics to win against Murray as he will get passed. Even in Roger's heyday Murray has always seemed to be his bogey opponent. I can certainly see Federrer winning a set but the match should go to Murray.

Not sure about that, the problem was Murray reaching his peak game coincided with Roger losing his. The only 2 matches where they coincided were Wimbledon/Olympics 2012. I feel that like Nadal, Murray has the game to beat Fed.

Wow this price, so Murray has injury problems?

I get the feeling Roger might take the first set and then Murray will work his way in and eventually crush Fed.
