unmatched bets in suspended markets will be cancelled before the markets are put back in play.
bets struck before the outage/site suspension will be settled according to the result. bets are only voided when they are placed on a market that was not put in play prior to its starting and a "material event" has occurred prior to betfair realising that they have not put the market in play. In these instances the market is subsequently suspended and not put in play. |

 I think in these situations all unmatched bets after the market crashed will be CANCELLED , I hope thats the case , bl00dy well should cancel unmatched bets , unless once the market re opens , theres HUGE value in the market differences between the time it crashed and the time it re opens in all in running events |

what is a "material event"? indeed, what is a material event my K-Paxian friend. it is nebulous. in tennis a completed set is considered to be a material event. an early break often is not considered to be one. a late double break is sometimes considered to be one. |
