Murray will not left the 3/5 rank, only delpo or ferrer can make more points than him.

Sadly because that shows us the state of tennis right now where no one except nadal or djokovic can win a tourney

I know this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but it is Federer that has led the swiss Davis Cup team for years now. Wawrinka has been good enough as a 2nd player for years.

Report caramba September 5, 2013 10:04 PM BST
Yeah, if Fed had made Davis Cup a priority during his best years Switzerland should have won it, since Stan was a good enough 2nd player. I was just saying that they would have had a great chance now if it wasn't for his huge decline this year. They probably still could have a pretty good chance if he can get his confidence back somewhat and they're both commited.
Report Kelly September 5, 2013 10:05 PM BST
Wawrinka was very good .  Murray below par .
Report edy September 5, 2013 10:08 PM BST
Unless Federer makes it his only mission to win Davis Cup instead of possibly competing at majors, I don't see him committing for DC. He won't want the extra burden on his body. I even feel sorry for Stan. He's not always played his best, nobody does, but he has always been fully committed to Davis Cup.
Report betchat September 5, 2013 10:08 PM BST
Such a different Murray compared to US 2012 and Wimbledon.  Almost incredible.
Report betchat September 5, 2013 10:11 PM BST

Report Sekt10ned September 5, 2013 10:12 PM BST
I made money on the match and am pretty happy but I wonder what has happened to good old fashioned grubbing. It's not just this match (we all know Stan is prone to choking), it's the Radwanska or maybe even the Querry match - in the past the underdog would have suddenly seen their game go at close to match point thus promptly delivering a lovely 1.01 grubbing. Times have changed it seems and for the worse as it's much harder to do the opposite grubbing of a massive favourite with any great confidence although I suppose Fed was there for the taking
Report betchat September 5, 2013 10:14 PM BST
Stan seemed to offer choking quite often but it just wasn't being accepted.
Report Sekt10ned September 5, 2013 10:15 PM BST
yes Murray had to be in the match Sad
Report caramba September 5, 2013 10:17 PM BST
I'm pretty sure Fed has said that one of his goals is to win DC at one point, but he hasn't really shown much interest in that, only playing the 1st round once in the past 8 years.
Report sternjohn September 6, 2013 12:43 AM BST
