I know the forum has it's negative points from Betfair's stand point, but at the same time, I'm not sure killing off the community is a good thing either. Definitely the community forum is an attraction to Betfair, and is something that keeps you hooked once you sign up, anything that keeps you hooked on Betfair's website is surely good for them.

Like think of how active Betfair forum was and has been, having all those users coming through your site has to be a good thing. I know from my own stand point, I like the idea of coming here to discuss stuff. By removing the community you remove all interactivity between your customers (users), which surely isn't good news for them.
