because Djokovoic, Nadal and even Murray have the ability to beat him. And the likes of Tsonga and Berdych can shock him too

God point, I think Fed has to play aggressive with little UE. His serve will be the biggest factor. I put a big outright bet on him last year and I will do it this year again. Hopefully he gets a kind draw.

If Nadal is in his quater, he won't be worth 72 let alone 7.2
Struggled past Youzhny in the final and Haas tested him. Only currently 6 in the race and has alot of points coming up to defend. Could be seeded out of the top 4 for the first time in a decade come US open time! |

Agree about Nadal but last year he lost against Haas and won wimb and Haas is even better this year, Fed dosnt care a lot about the warm upp tournaments, only Federer cares about these days is the grand slams and wimb is his best chance.

grass is certainly his best and probably his only chance of a slam. He beat Djok & murray to win it last yr but he was in much better form last year, won 4 tourneys before wimbledon, beat nadal and murray on the way. Halle is his first win this year and he has lost to murray and nadal (twice) when he has met them this year. he hasn't played djok this year but he is a year older and i think all 3 of them would have the mental edge over him now and are physically stronger too. That's why his price is higher.
I don't think his body will be able for nadal physically this year if they meet. But i think he will be in tip top shape and give it his best shot as he knows it's his best chance, so you never know. Still wouldn't back him at 7.2 tho. Why don't you wait and get him higher during the tournament? what price did he hit last year 2 sets down v Benneteau? |

God querstion, but i dont remember, probably between 11 and 14

I think he must change his style a bit and attack more with his forehand after he is serving. I think he tried to do that more often in Halle. In my eyes when he serves väl and he is aggressive with his FH and he dosnt make to many UE, than he has the edge than the rest. His BH which normally is his weaker side is in grass a alternative weapon. Djokovic dosnt move as well on grass and movement and the returns is his biggest strenght the way i see it. Nadal will always be a doubt. He didnt even play on grass yet. And Nadal usually struggles against big servers especially when the grass is faster in the early rounds. But Nadal is very dangerous when fitt and goes deep in grand slams but still I think Nadal was at his peak in 2008 when he defeated Federer in 5 sets. Think Murray will be the greatest threat to Federer if Murray dosnt lose to Nadal before.

Still tough to beat him on grass.

By:
should be same price as tsonga
By:
i dunno, 29 would be a bit high on fed
By:
Because market is taking recent results as a big warning sign that he may be finished. He won Halle, but was hardly impressive in the process.

Fed not making it past the quarters... the run is finish

mugs can now have 9.2

mugs are laying 9+ now

Problem he has Nadal in the quarters. Given recent form the odds may be Nadal 1.50, Fed 3.00 or thereabouts. That is why his price at 9 is still a huge lay.

Fed has very diffucult draw! My 7.2 pick is useless now! But i still have faith in him. come on Federer!! |
By:
I dont think Nadal will have 1.5 against Fed. He will be at least 2
By:
Might play Nadal under a roof. Best chance of beating him if so
By:
If Nadal is in the zone the he will tough to beat but I cant see him playing like he did in 2008. Also his spinn is not so effective on grass. He is vulnrable in early his has a good drav in early ronds. He use to struggle with big servers. But i thing many more players today knows how to beat Nadal than before. He hasnt the same auroa than before.

Isner can do it, but he has to get that far

Isner

if isner serves v v well, he will be very tough to beat.
By:
Agree, but big servers usully are bad movers and bad returners. In Halle and London, the big servers havent made big impact. I think a slice serve is very effective on grass. So when serving, placement and the right spinn on the ball is more effectful than pure power.
By:
Serve bots are more effective on hard courts, they are usually exposed badly on clay and grass
By:
Isner never made it past the second round here
By:
peak Benoit Paire is the only guy that can even take a set from Nadal, but is brain won't stick around for long enough
By:
^^ in the early rounds of course

By:
I was right about Nadal early rounds. Now my back on Fed 7.2 and 11 looks good again
