Nadal should take it  in 3.

He plays Bastad the week before on clay. Hamburg the week after should be 500 free points for him if he played it.

commentator banging on about Ferrer missing chances but this is what Nadal has always done - saves lots of big points

I remember that first set against Roger in 2008 iirc, Federer had 15 BPs in the first set and could not take one, and went on to lose set and match, played brilliant first set

Federer famously went 1/19 I believe in French Open 2007 final on break points.

Why not play both though Edy like say Almagro does. Hamburg would be an easy 500 title really.

As other people mentioned the first set was key for Ferrer to have any chance. Long way back for him now.

I think fixed doesn't quite grasp that there are prizes and ranking points for more than 1 player in these tournaments.

Yes I am trying to think of the last time there was a final like this. I know Nadal vs Federer in 2008 was a complete beatdown but that day Nadal was pretty much 10/10. Today he's playing 6/10 and leads 6-3, 3-0.

nadal is just too good for anyone on clay apart from djokovic. imagine how many roland garros titles he could win before he retires, will make double figure easily, maybe around 12+.

tennis is like one of these amateur level playstation games. only you don't have to reset every now and then, it's impossible to lose as the better player...scoring system takes care of that
