in fact i'd go as far to say that she's the only person realistically between serena and the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen.
good kuz, the double slam winning good kuz, is between 5 and 6 to 1 to turn up.
prematch serena is about right. a tick or two short.
however if you can guage it quickly enough tomorrow, there's a big big prize on offer.

It's a shame because 0-3 and Serena could have had a complete meltdown like she did last year.

Tbf RMB Kuznetsova went from 100 to 1.81 in a pretty short time too.
The third game- that was the match. Everyone knew it. 3 or more BP's missed by Kuz, and then the huge letdown.

Whatever the result, Kuznetsova has made S.Williams look very beatable on clay.
The thing about those 3 break points at 0-2 is Kuznetsova actually had a chance in all of them, it wasn't just service winners. Kuznetsova worked herself into at least neutral in all of them. The biggest one was where she missed that drop shot wide where it was a probable winner.
I think Serena made herself look beatable. Kuzzy played her part though.

Yep - good effort from Kuz. Especially after getting hammered in the first set. Really good mental attitude.
All the supposed 'experts' who earn a living talking about the game on tv, were claiming S.Williams looked invincible in this tournament.

She's looked invincible the last few months, her best is far too good for the rest. She mentally exited though and that's not something I've seen since she let AMG bagel her.
Who can sustain the form required to beat her for 3 sets? And it's not just playing better for longer, they have to beat 'Serena' which is harder than plating better tennis than her for so many. They bare the scars.
The problem with a lot of the pundits is they don't actually watch womens tennis or in the case of some any tennis outside the grand slams. Every grand slam Serena is hyped up as unstoppable.

If she stays composed and drops her super ego - an utter desperation for perfection and then an impish petulant reaction if things go awry from it - then she can't be beaten. Kuz outplayed her for a few points and Serena took 10 games to recompose.
Yes no chance for Errani. There is a chance in the final. Serena has played some bad tennis in recent grand slam finals, and pressure has got to her. It could be racketed up big time here given she hasn't won here since 2002.
Aza has looked bang average. If Serena is beatable on clay, the Aza is far more so.
Sharapova is probably favourite to beat Azarenka though in the semi's.

I don't buy the argument Kuznetsova 'choked' when she had game pts to go 3-0 up. You have to execute the points and she tried her absolute best to achieve this but failed. It's where many people read Murray wrong. Just because the chances aren't taken it doesn't mean anyone 'chokes'.

She didn't really choke Kuznetsova. She just isn't use to big matches anymore. She has also declined. It's in the biggest moments where that sort of stuff shows.
She's arguably the best womans player of all time and there's no Henin/Clijsters around to make any slam not hers for the taking.

Choke gets thrown around too much. Serena raised her level and Kuz was probably always going to dip again.
she created the only chance you ever get these days against serena and just came up short, another point or two for 3-0 and that could have been enough. altho serena seems to play as well as she has to and can step it up 2 or 3 gears when she is pushed
this was the final for me, no one will take more sets from serena
Yes - no choke from Kuzzy. Gave it a really good shot and just wasn't quite good enough.
It is really amazing how at BP for 0-3 or whatever decisive moment, something in a champion like Serena switches on and she executes.
