Yes, that was amazing. I put a bet on Wawrinka for interest at the start of the 5th. Little did I know just how interesting it would get.

Massive choke job by Gasquet.

Man Gasquet did good. He was injured yet pushed it past 6 in the advantage set! Wawrinka was in the same position as Gasquet.

Which odds? Odds for Wawrinka during the match?

Yes NicoN, the odds were crazy.  I don't care about the outcome, I have seen matches like that go every which way over the years, the odds were wrong.  But on this occasion they won.  GL to those backers, they will need it.

Yeah in retrospect they should have been closer to even. I got him at 1.4 at the start of the 5th set. That's about a 70% assumed probability. With Wawrinka winning two sets on the trot, and Gasquet not even playing at half of Wawrinka's service points due to an apparent injury that would presumably get worse as the advantage set progressed, I felt that there probably wasn't much value there but at least the market was being honest. Of course, a couple of games later, home court advantage kicked in and Gasquet was making up for his lack of movement by just being really good at hitting winners and I felt a little silly/worried.

As always, I am happy to lose at odds like that, that's part of making a living out of doing this.

Can't say I've ever seen Wawrinka surrounded by a particularly arrogant vibe.

A certain user however that always talks negatively about almost every player's looks and character...

went to bed halfway through the 4th set, hoping but not expecting Stan to win. Pleasant surprise waking up this morning Excited especially since I was loss chasing after a horrid AFL game. Plus Sharapova and Jankovic did what I expected alsoExcited
