Today could be a washout. And rest of the week not looking that promising either.

They have the ability to play at least 2 matches indoors.

They should have been playing matches indoors today from the get-go instead of facking around all day.

it's unfair on those who could enter qualies at RG and will backload the tournament which will ruin it for the spectators and sponsors because they'll be more tanks in belgium than there were in May 1940

no lights as well, so if it's overcast, they'd be off early anyway.

silly silly silly waiting and praying for the rain to stop.

They will not go indoors today. They hope it will stop raining and still can put some matches on today. #bo2013

All the matches cancelled except: Arvidsson-Peng; Zhang-Rybarikova; Stephens-Pironkova and Zheng-Burdette. They will play if no rain.#bo13

Not to move indoors is one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. If there is no play today, they have 18 matches to be played tomorrow. They only have 3 outdoor courts I think! They have no floodlights and tomorrow it is meant to rain again. They have no scope on their finish day, they absolutely have to finish on Saturday.

It doesn't get more stupid than that tbh.

if it continues like this there might be money to be made with the bigger names tanking or retiring or just plain making an excuse to get to RG

How are the Brusselians' court drying skills?

Probably only have enough people to tend 1 court at a time. What a mug event. Someone wake me up when it's Sunday Wink.

Lol have you seen Court 2! Check it out on the stream. There is NO chance they are playing on that tonight surely.
By:

When: 21 May 13 16:09
The court on court 1 also looks like it may be soaked underneath. The covers look poor. What sorta mug even is this lol? Don't even have covers for all their courts.

you mean court 1 (piro/stephens)? there is no court 2 (at least not scheduled for today), just cc, c1 and c3.

surprisingly little fun facts about Belgians out there. i did learn Audrey Hepburn was born in Brussels and they invented the saxophone. but i don't want to spam

Oh right. Where is court 3 then? I imagine the court in pictures is Court 2, it's right next to court 1.

No wonder this event is losing it's premier license, what a joke event. Birmingham better than this rubbish.

removing covers on what i think is c1 now.
By:

When: 21 May 13 16:12
Yer they are, but I think the court is soaked underneath from what appears to be going on. The cover wasn't your tradition tarp cover like you had on centre, it looked like some cheap cover when it was close in shot, so it's probs flooded through.
By:

When: 21 May 13 16:13
These courts are going to be so heavy. On centre they are just throwing down more clay, court 1 looks drenched.
By:
n88uk
When: 21 May 13 16:14
Ha court 1 has massive puddles!
By:
n88uk
When: 21 May 13 16:15
Going to need a lot of new clay to absorb that up.
By:
caramba
When: 21 May 13 16:23
one side of court 1 looks ok, but the other one is so drenched you can't even see the lines.
By:
n88uk
When: 21 May 13 16:24
2 different covers used at different ends.
