It's an ugly way to lose. Murray's thinking is unreal at times.

Thank God that in Australia you have to call up to place a live bet and that takes like 2 minutes extra, or I would be in the same position.

yes, the injury (the hip) is for real.  And you know what?  So I lost £100, - who cares, I'd rather he makes sure he gets back, fit

Srichaphan or Ancic?

maybe learn from it not to put bets on, using Betfair, until a player has started the next set.

I was on the loser, and they shouldn't do anything with regards to this rule

tweedy if the injury was for real why carry on when 4-1 down second set and risk making it worse, only to retire after winning second set makes no sense, what has he proved.
By:
NicolNicol
When: 15 May 13 14:56
liggy, perhaps the stress that those extra games put on him worsened the injury and the thought of another set made him retire. that makes more logical sense than your post.

Srichaphan or Ancic?
When: 15 May 13 14:57
What makes most sense is that he wanted to prove he could win against someone like Granollers, but didnt want to play the tournament, and so decided to retire.

Yeah, agree with liggy0 comment

liggy - your guess is as good as mine.  He is the player, he is the one who made the best decision for him.  Gamble or don't gamble - those are the breaks!

he will not risk just 2 weeks before a GS.

Agree aaron. This has cost me several weeks worth of money because a - I wasn't watching properly, b - overstaked and c - got caught by those with much quicker feed/live. But the rule as it stands is correct and fair.

Murrays Gob: ‘At rest’ Murray’s mouth is perfectly normal. However, once a crucial point is won it defies the limitations of human physicality as the jaw seemingly dislocates and the roar bellows from a misshapen, elongated orifice that resembles a mangled bear-trap.

Cant take credit for this but thought it funny Laugh
