soa you little gambling genius. murray apparently spotted training without sign of injury on grass and with big smile.according to daily mail
By:
The Daily Mail? In that case there was probably a story on the opposite page about how clay gives you cancer.

if he wins wimbledon this year it will be the shrewdest decision in tennis in recent years, pulling out of a slam that is by far on his worst surface to win the prestigious tournament, he is definitely worth backing more so at wimbledon now, not easy playing back to back slams for anyone and he'll be the most fresh lol i heard on radio yesterday he's practising on grass already ![]() the other 3 will have to make a quick transition form clay to grass and will no doubt go deep into the french, murray is a shrewdie |
By:
something must had gone wrong if no 2 in the world skipping slam event to prepare for another tournament.. this aint right .boooo murray
By:
hes never won a clay tournament, why out your body through that for two week and then play wimbledon not long after, he can win wimbledon this year and then bother with the french next year
By:
Lendl used to skip Roland Garros to fully focus on Wimbledon.
By:
Murray's lower back has been flaring up from time to time for years now, especially on the slower, higher bouncing surfaces.
He didn't want it to get even worse (and risk his chances at Wimbledon) by grinding it out for hours at RG on a type of surface that's traditionally been bad for his body. Having a practice hit on grass with a young one is hardly comparable with the stress the French Open would've put on his body. Of course being able to spend more time on the grass is a nice bonus. |
By:
i dont buy it. top event of the year and he skipping it with some minor reason because cant see himself as a challenger, thats not sign of champion mentality.i cant imagine him winning wimbledon(lol) with such a mindset
By:
it's called intelligence p, nadal skipped the Australian Open even though he was fit, but he knew he wasn't fit enough to win, so why would he have put his body through that and hinder his recovery, since then he's been in 7 straight finals, won 5, and you wouldn't call nadal someone whose lacks winning metality
By:
nadal was fit? dont be ridiculous. he was out for 8 months he wanted to play ,skipped because he wasnt fit .it s totally different situation to giving up like murray. its like acknowledging that top players are better than him, how on earth can he fight with them, is he that superior to them on grass? lol. murray hasnt got bag full of slam trophies to give up on reasonable opportunity for fighting for one.
By:
lol you really think he couldn't of played australia, played 2 weeks after it started in chile,he knew he couldn't coompete with djokovic and the like, so he could of played but not at his best, like murray now
its now about being that superior on grass- its the fact hes alot better on grass than clay, |
By:
lol he was out for 8 months why you comparing this situation to murrays nadal also skipped us open
By:
He said he was playing oz and then he pulled out again, he kept delaying his comeback becuse when he came back he wanted to be at his very best, like murray now, he doesnt want to play in a slam where hes not at his best, he knows what it takes to win one and knows his own body, anyway if he does win wimbledon, it'll be a great decision
murrays had this back problem for years |
By:
he wasnt very best at chile ffs what are you dwelling about he just started his match practice and lost to zebbalos , murray is in full season swing. its incomparable
By:
exactly, he wasn't at his best for chile or australia, but he took part in chile becuase taking part in austrlia at his level of fitness wouldnt of been worthwhile, he didnt take part becuase he knew he couldnt win it
like murray not taking part at the french becuase he knows with his back issue he cant win it this is simple stuff |
By:
what ? lol murray is ok nothing wrong with him minor problem he could deal with it, he is in bad spot mentally thats all he will not do anything at wimbledon you will see, doesnt matter grass or whatever
By:
great quote, "he will not do anything at wimbledon you will see"
saved |
By:
he is running away of his bad form it will catch him anyways ,its very bad attitude ,if he thinks he will be safe at wimbers hes very much wrong
By:
how do you know? it hasnt happened yet, he's got a better chance of winning wimbledon than radwanska anyway
![]() |
By:
murray was practicing on the grass at roehampton yesterday
will be primed come wimbers |
By:
why you bringing radwanska in to this, lack of arguments maybe?
mentality in tennis is main part of the champion ,there is plenty of skilled players who cant sustain level because they have weaker mental side more than physical. you are concentrating on physical aspect of murray absence im concentrating on mental side maybe thats why you cant understand my point of view. im murray fan got many battles about him on fora in past , you fighting for him ,thats nice(or maybe u just fighting about your theory that murray will be more prepared therefore more dangerous , i dont know) but it does not change situation murray is now in. ok yes i agree he will be better prepared of course ,but mentally he will be weaker in the same situation, physically best players will match him anyways, mentally (his bigger weakness ) he will drop even more and thats his issue against top players. have good day |
By:
I thought the radwanska part would get you goingI understand fully you think murray is not taking part in the French Open due to his mentality, but this is a player whose played in the last 3 grand slam finals winning one and the olympic gold too - nobody has a leg to stand on when they question his bottle - his proven mentally he has it, im concentrating on his physical state becuase its that which is prevalent here - his mental state is not. |
By:
murray is a mug.
did that get you going? ![]() ![]() ![]() lol lets leave it there ,everything what should be said was said, word fencing not for me anyways wish andy best of luck etc, just dont think it will happen again in nexzt two slams etc, he was in last 3 finals where nadal was injured btw ![]() |
By:
if he thinks he has no chance of winning the french, he would withdraw every single year
![]() ![]() |
By:
obviously thats the difference in his mind set at this moment ,doesnt look good
![]() |
By:
yes with lendal's broguht into help his mental side its really going the other way
accept he's not fit enough to compete and stop clutching at straws |
By:
it was going right way but in last half of the year doesnt looking that good tbh, skidding down imo, maybe injuries maybe something else maybe mayb,e but it looks like slump to me where nadal for example gains his spot again
By:
the stats dont back you up
a fully fit murray wouldnt pull out |

edy made the most important comment here:
Having a practice hit on grass Withdrawing from a two week bo5 tournament doesn't mean you're going to completely stop training, and with the clay season effectively over (as regards tournaments Murray would actually play in) any training he does from here on is obviously going to be on grass. |
