Posted previously about Ramos vs Hajek and was surprised to see Ramos odds as high as 1.40.
And I am equally surprised to see Stepanek's odds as high as 1.44 in this match vs Starace.
Sure, Starace is Italian so this tournament in Rome is home soil for him and clay is his specialty. But he seems to be a mere shadow of his former self these days.
• Starace now 31 years old and ranked #293 in the world.
• Stepanek 34 y.o. but still in great shape and #48 in the world.
I watched Federer vs Stepanek last week where F won 6-3, 6-3 but Stepanek didn't play bad. Federer was just better.
Starace for his part now seems to play only Challenger tournaments. He reached 2nd round in one last week (losing to #163 ranked Lajovic). The week before that he actually won a Challenger tournament in Napoli, but in the Final #312 ranked Giannessi retired.

6-4 1-3 and odds are bigger than before the match!
The commentator is easily pleased. The two players hit the ball forehand to backhand for about 20 shots, one player does a drop shot and he says 'what a great point!'.

well I wrote it earlier when Steps was hitting some easy forehands in the net
step a bit of a mug today, but I think he'll still win. don't know what's up with the market, italian patriotic betting?
It is such a dimwitted market that if it goes 1-1 on sets, Stepanek will be near evens.

steps just lost to the guy that lost 6-2 6-3 against lajovic 
It wouldnt surprise me if the tournament organisers were involved in that, to get their top billing match.
