im rafa fan and i used to watch all his matches for years, i know he is dominating all the mugs but for me he clearly isnt on this level he was before injury break. making much more errors doesnt hit as many spectacular shots and often gets wrong footed. anyways it doesnt matter .
rafa tihis year struggled to those players(lost sets or match) :
zeballos--- lost final in 3 sets clay
berlocq -3 sets in brasil clay
alund - 3 sets brasil clay
ernie gulbis , juhan m del potty- hard court indian wells im taking it out of equation
dimitrov 3 sets in monte carlo
djokovic lost final in monte carlo 2 sets
ferrer 3 sets madrid
all of those players, if im not mistaken ,off the top of my head, have great (preferably one handed) backhand . yes my theory is those players put rafa into trouble because they can match(sort of) his current forehand in rallies and not getting dominated on current basic.
then wawa backhand (i said gasquet once before but not sure now) is one of the deadliest shots on clay , he can create so much top spin that its difficult to cope with if its land around baseline. but on the top of that he can create massive angles from wide shots rafa can punch to the right side of the court and with the huge pace its massive weapon. then rafa forehand can be feed with it and counter-punch with some awesomeness but he lack of that imo after the injury.
so adding 2+2 im laying rafa here and also going for small punt on wawa 2-0 but it wont happen due to mental stratification between their respectable mentality strength(just a cheeky lay to gloate on forum for ages from then on)

wawa first serve is better but I don't think it could get any worse than first set.

We were ripping on this guy yesterday called tennisguy who said Stan was going to come back in the final set when he was a break down.
After he said that, Stan went 15-40 down for a double break. When Stan got back to deuce, this guy posted on the forum saying 'I told you Stan would come back', despite the fact that he was still down a break and had merely saved a couple of break points on his own serve without yet making any progress towards getting back into the match.
