I don't like Errani either, because if she wins it tends to just be a horror show from her oppo. Her game is just grind her oppo into throwing dozens of UE. But it's obvious what she normally does is pretty effective against the tours also-rans. Vinci winning a mug event in Katowice doesn't make her a better player.

if she goes out against some random mug at RG, we can maybe start to say she is in decline and worse than Errani

I don't think that is the same court. Officially the second court is known as "court 1". There are matches scheduled on it today, so it can't be done for the tournament. That looks like the practice court to me.
