Report loadedgimp April 17, 2013 4:27 PM BST
Not all money matched stays on it, I doubt anyone who backed Monaco at low odds is still on it without having backed Gulbis 2nd set or something.

I would back 1.07 in a 1st set for instance, not here cuz the guy wasnt even fav so there was too much downsize if he was broken, you just need to consider what will happen if price goes against you and decide if its worth the risk. But that's the case with any trade either way
Report annibal April 17, 2013 4:35 PM BST
the perfect price is 2 at the begin. rest is exploitation
Report loadedgimp April 17, 2013 4:36 PM BST
what makes you think I am an idiot annibal??  sports betting is almost identical to playing online poker.  you think Gulbis win 2nd set (similar to being dealt 9 10 suited) Gulbis takes lead (flop is 2 7 8 so you have straight draw) Gulbis continues to play well at 5-3 (turn is 9 so top pair) and Gulbis almost won (J on the river, nuts hand) ALL IN, ANY PRICE.

if you laugh at 1% I can assume you don't do very well.

Report GWB_III April 17, 2013 4:43 PM BST
What an idiot. Too dumb to win.
Report loadedgimp April 17, 2013 4:43 PM BST
Don't feel like getting into this conversation again, but to write off any odds range or suggest some odds are better than others is foolish in my eyes.
Odds reflect chance and if chance perceived is higher than those odds I take them.  Gulbis 2nd set could not have been a more perfect example of a solid low odds opportunity.
Bonus for loyalty from bet365 is more than welcome and something I feel I have earned, given their awful prices all the time.
Bonus from betfair would be welcomed and I must admit I expected something, the rewards chest was unreachable targets for me.  I have drummed up god knows how much commission for them and a tiny chunk back would not be an outrageous expectation would it?

Really? Lets take djokovic today, 1.1 lost 1st set went to 1.4, you would made 20% return... if you had backed the 1.10 you would lose the same 20%.

Report hollywood85 April 17, 2013 4:44 PM BST
So you need to get these lays right more than 50% of the time
Report jcy April 17, 2013 4:44 PM BST
is it monacos serve again so a double break:
Report GWB_III April 17, 2013 4:44 PM BST

Report aaronh April 17, 2013 4:45 PM BST

Report GWB_III April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
Not double break though.
Report fcp10 April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
and the perfect script is mugbis coming back from 3-0 down
Report annibal April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
if u want to win with good players you need to wait then to be on trouble not to exploit prices like 1.05
Report Maestro_71 April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
I'm not saying it can't be value I'm just saying I find I make more money in the same space of time laying low odds and I risk far less... that's just me though.
Report smb360 April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
Did Monaco just get awarded a free hold then?
Report loadedgimp April 17, 2013 4:46 PM BST
Lol hollywood not sure your point makes any sense given you expect the backer and layer to use the same trade point but I would have suggested 1.1 at 0-0 on Djoko first set is a very poor bet.

Report GWB_III April 17, 2013 5:03 PM BST
Let's see: Gulbis misses breaking the first game of the third, the second he would have held except for the point penalty, the third he forfeits, the fourth he holds, fifth misses 0-30, sixth gets broken. Without the childishness, I think he probably would have won this match.
