:- Heavy T-Storms; Chance of Rain 100%. Basically if you don't want your money tied up, do not bet on Charleston until you see players actually on court today. The rain is meant to start at 11am and last all day though, so if the weather report is correct there will be no play today. It's also meant to rain tomorrow.

wonderful news..

good that DC starts tomorrow
this Charleston is not a very good tourney for me and Monterrey is sux also they have few matches per day and others are in the morning when I'm sleeping already. And no video. feck that sh1t! |
By:
and this green sh1t is also sux
on central court it's like fast hard court on other courts it's like slow hardcourts but faster than miami and IW they call it clay? lol |
By:
Add to all that WTA... i wouldn't get involved much at all unless your a full on addict.
wait for Davis Cup and the mens's clay. |
By:
Why do people have these theories like WTA is for full on addicts. I for one prefer WTA.

WTA is a goldmine. My most profitable sport by far due to all the swings.

Not good with the rain, but there are three matches that interest me immensely.
Mattek-Sands vs Keys Goerges vs Voegele Cirstea vs Safarova I was surprised to see Mattek-Sands over 1.80 but the price is shortening slightly and even though Keys is talented I think she will be too inconsistent during this match to beat Bethanie. Goerges price also surprised me to be too high but market probably overreacting after Voegele's convincing win over Suarez-Navarro. I like to avoid Goerges' matches from the betting/trading point of view because she can go from hero to zero in a short spell of time and I can't read when that's going to happen in her case. Cirstea vs Safarova could be a roller-coaster type of match and the price on Cirstea looks tempting enough. Yesterday Safarova only needed to return the ball and in most parts of the match Lucic was almost always the player who made the unforced error. Yes, Cirstea can also spray a lot of shots wide and, yes, Safarova likes this tournament and, yes, this win ended the run of four defeats, so she feels more confident now. Another thing that puzzles me just a bit is the taping that she had below her knee, although in WTA it's often just a fashion thing. I'd expect the odds to be closer to 50-50. |

Goerges price does look huge. I doubt it gets played today though. This event could become survival of the fittest too. I imagine they will still want to finish Sunday, that means they will play 2 matches each either tomorrow or Saturday. Going to be important to win fast if that becomes the case. Will be especially tough for someone like Venus to do that.
By:
Petkovic withdraws. Walkover for Caro. I thought Petkovic might have had a chance too lol.
By:
Of course they should move the Serena match to first on because they desperately need to try to get these matches played, but of course they won't.
By:
Also I bet instead of getting all these matches streamed like we would have today, we will miss like half of them now.

2 days of rain
bye bye charleston amazing scenes if they gonna play 2 matches in a row on saturday |
By:
Could end up like ATP Rogers Cup did last year.
By:
how?
By:
Didn't they play 4 matches in 2 days there. Aka survival of the fittest/who wins quickest.
By:
If Venus somehow wins the first match, she probably becomes a massive lay in her 2nd match if she plays 2 matches in a day.
By:
Wozniacki gets a big advantage getting a round ahead. Though given her next round opponent is probably Goerges (check the H2H if you don't know about this), she probably needs all the help she can get.
By:
what help? dope?
By:
Not having played that day, whereas it will probably be Goerges 2nd match of the day.
By:
ah yeah, petko stuff
By:
wow
By:
no rain there yet
By:
Lol what. Why did I trust a weather report that said 100% rain
. |
By:
Whats the bet these mug organisers still won't start the Serena match for another 2 hours.
By:
I think the Goerges match may have been moved actually. Proactive organisers - surely not!
By:
looks like a small rain
but reinforces for rain are on the way |
By:
Oh right na they moved Mattek-Sands vs Keys to centre, and Goerges will start on the other court. Still proactive.
By:
Rain falling

By:
they need to build roof
By:

By:
Match will not start earlier than 11:15 (9 minutes from now), translation match will never start.
By:
just announced play postponed till rain stops :D
By:
NBF 11.15 EST
By:
Yer but the rain isn't scheduled to stop for about 40 hours.
By:
so aren't they televising Matek Sands ?
By:
They are televising both.
By:
All matches were down to be televised (obviously it won't work out that way cos all matches won't get played). And they will probably have to move matches to non-televised court.
