Will Shazza win a game?

Haas had what very few women players have, if any, and what few male players have. Mental fortitude to push on when he was in dreamland.

THI COULD BE A BAGEL

Is anyone going to win with a worse position than mine of just a lump on @ 1.38 lol.

This is exactly why though I heavily disagree with this idea that Maria Sharapova is some mental giant. She has completely folded here, yet TV always tell us there's no1 mentally tougher.

Maria is a mental giant...Serena is a giant
By:
Maria Sharapova's mental toughness is a span up myth to me that comes mainly from her battles vs mugs. Normally all self-inflicted. She folds completely vs the top players time after time.
By:
She might be mentally stronger than the rest of the tour but that's not hard. But the likes of Azarenka and Williams are certainly mentally stronger than her.
By:
How many games in a row for williams?

By:
About to be 10 games straight since Sharapova went up set and break. ouch
By:
i think im mentally stronger than sharapova

9 SERENA IS GOAT NOT GRAF OR MARTINA

LAST 3 MATCHES SHES DONE THIS,PRICE DRIFTS WAY OUT ,THEN MIRACULOUSLYSTARTS PLAYING WELL,DO FOR ME.

Her mental toughness aura comes from days like when the wind is heavy and she gets in a 3-set mugfest with 20 breaks of serve with someone ranked 30. But really mental toughness should be measure by how you are in the BIG moments, and time after time Maria has not delivered.
By:
And I bet Sharapova has won about 10 points in total during those 10 games.
By:
serena WAS GOAT before this match. there is no debate. best female player of all time
By:
sharapova was a way better player in her younger days
By:
The last 10 games has been some of the best tennis I've seen Serena play. Astonishing considering the end of the first set
By:
anyone get the 4 to1 on goat big mamma i got 3s
By:
getting baggeled in the finalo must be absolutely devestating LOL
By:
Obviously Serena is great, but I seriously don't even think she got that much better in this match. It wasn't like Cibulkova where she seriously upped her level. The match was there for the taking for Maria and she blew it, her level went off a cliff.
By:
I find it funny that coach comes into court and motivates pova and tells her amazing never miss tactics and she just gets broken right away and collapses... coincidence?
By:
Hogstedt always makes me laugh. Normally his tactics in on court coaching is "she will choke.". He didn't try that one today though.
By:
she was already feeling blue, he might not read it and pushed the wrong bottons even further
By:
my return to this thread is jinxing it, I'm leaving again

By:
Serena serving 10 times faster than an hour ago
By:
He was probably fighting an impossible battle tbf. Maria's head is probably so in the washing machine that it was beyond repair in 2 minute change of ends.
By:
wonder how maria takes this. on the one hand she won her first set against serena in five years, on the other hand she's about to lose ten games in a row.
By:
williams is a monster.
well done masha though. an outstanding four weeks of tennis from her. |
By:
Maria will want off this court asap and no piece of the ceremony.
