I don't think they will, least not as far as I've read. If Azarenka withdraws, the bottom half is utter crap too. Basically would be Sharapova and that's it.

copil price now suggest break up,layed him

cepelova started slow

Also we have the same crap as Indian Wells, it's 4 matches a day for the womens event. Which means we will miss a lot of good matches again. Because look at all those names I listed in the top half, you can't fit all of those onto the TV schedule. Kvitova probs be out on parking lot court 7 again.
By:
It's especially annoying here because I am more interested in the womens event than the mens.
By:
weird policy. i don't get the sense of it
By:
The men have no Federer and Nadal and will have like 9-10 TV matches to fill a day, gonna be some utter crap matches televised then early on.
By:
why they're doing that?

Re Siniakova & foul mouth - what I meant was that she swears here and there, but who doesn't? Nothing over the line like Azarenka used to do in the past on a regular basis. She also throws the racquet sometimes.
Against Glatch she should have a chance too because both players are attacking, so it depends on who's more accurate on the day. Katerina is pretty fast, which should help her but the fact is that by winning in the Minella match she's past her objective for this tournament, which is her first on WTA tour. On the other hand, she refused to continue on the junior level, being 16 years of age, because she prefers to fight instead of winning easily, so lack of motivation today is not the case I guess. |

It's to do supposedly WTA have no deal with the world feed to actually show their matches jin_kazz, so the matches that get shown are because world feed (obviously dictated too by US TV) wants to show them. ATP actually have a contract saying show xx amount of matches. So basically in WTA you only get the big players because that's all the world feed is interested in.

VOEGELE - I WANT YOUR BABIES!!!

i've already layed glatch

A ludicrous situation basically. It's a complete farce given Indian Wells and Miami are always giving to the biggun about being "5th majors" and all that crap. Yet their TV policies are like some of the worst on tour.

Lol well it obviously is half and half though. Some blame WTA for not being more hard and getting a contract for more matches. It's ridiculous that they have TV camera's on court 3 but simply turn them off for the WTA matches. Sorting that alone out would solve the issue as there are normally like 3 WTA matches on that court, and at least 7 matches a day would be acceptable.
The other half is Indian Wells and Miami's fault because they like to tell us how great they are, but the coverage is crap. Sort it out. There is better coverage from most WTA International's than these events. Really from there point of view, if there so good and want to keep pumping all this money in, they should have no problem televising like 5 courts or something. |
By:
WTA especially need to sort it out though. There 5 biggest events are Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Beijing, WTA Championships.
Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid there event is literally just run like some sideshow to the ATP event, the exposure they get for 3 of their biggest events on tour is appalling. Obviously they like that they are joint events so they can spout off how much attendances are always up, because attendances just counts who come through the gate. So are all those people there to see Federer and Nadal are included. It also allows them to force joint prize moneys from these events as well because the events are pressure to do so, otherwise they would get blasted for inequality. Whereas the prize money in ATP 250s is like literally 2.5x the amount from WTA Internationals. But they do nothing to spread the word of the sport for them. |
