yesterday had a one on tb played but raonic disappointing me a bit in this area as he looking very lively and aggressive on return!
its not often you can see from him sometimes he is relying on serve too much but here he is going for it,and i can see him breaking haas |

Raonic will do some damage next year when he goes to Rotterdam instead. Commentator just made a good point - imagine him at the O2. I hope he can make the race, it would be good to see him at the tour finals.

Raonic at the moment reminds me of a flat-track bully. He looks an outstanding player until he plays one of the top players and he's shown up for his limitations.

early days but raonic faced only one break point whole week and he already getting to the hass in every game, i would think he will serve it out or get one more break and he will start off the block again in second set

Raonic's serve is ludicrous. They are going to have to change the rules because there is too much power in tennis now. These serves make a mockery of the sport.

I don't think it was a dumb comment at all. Imagine if they start using even faster courts, racquets, balls etc and suddenly Raonic is hitting 160mph serves all the time.
We don't want to get to the point where good serving is virtually unreturnable. How many times do people on here complain about players being boring, useless etc because they only have talent for serving? If tennis leans too much towards serving then it will become dominated by servebots with basketballer physiques, and the sport will become very boring and lose a lot of fans. Raonic's serving at this tournament is right at the very limit of what is acceptable imo. |
