Aza has been close. At least she booed the French crowd at Roland Garros. She should be like that more often. And Shara shouted "Allez up you f****n ass" to the Roland Garros crowd.
Im just saying, foootball or boxing is a great example of controversial comments/opinions/behaviour...the tensions created by sportsment in those sports often venting their honest opinions and beliefs are immense, and ofcourse they are VERY entertaining for people of the public to tune in to. I mean, personally speaking, i'd have so much more anticipation for a tennis match between two players who verbally war with each other up to the match and after it, i think that would be EXCELLENT
the truth is, tennis is a middle class sport, and it's seen as a taboo to be negative or rude to opponents, instead, let's lick their ar$es clean because we're all one big family playing in the ATP/WTA. NO! instead, give joey barton a racquet and let them have a bit of him

there are examples of catty comments, especially in women's tennis, for instance Shara's "Well nobody important told me to stop" after Rad complained about her grunting, or Serena's "Well, she won Rome and Madrid" replying to question on whether Safina was worthy number 1, but you almost never hear these type of comments during the on-court interview.
the closest I can think of in recent years is shara's tounge-in-cheek "Vika was extremely injured" after Stuttgart final. I would like to see more of it, at long as it isn't forced like often in boxing, as it would make matches even more interesting.
