But now 2 terribly bad points from Ferrer?!? Could be 0-40
By:
Muggy seems great value to me right now. Ferrer not himself and has it all to do.
By:

By:
terrible ferrer!
By:
Did you see vs Istomin or Bellucci last year Charles/Bhoys? Those matches were actually much worse than this.
By:
cant decide if ferrer just needs one inspired game against serve to kick start the comeback or will it only be false hope
By:
Ferrer does tend to be Mr Consistency! He's being very consistent in this match!
By:
neither player able to go for the throat here. nico had the chance last ferrer serve
By:
can't bet on this rubbish anymore. tiny green both sides from pointless trades
By:

By:

By:

By:

By:
Almagro want to give him a set but maybe he cannot take it? I wait for Ferrer maybe 1 or 2 more games.
By:

By:
i think almagro to lay for a trade
By:
the istomin match he looked fatigued
By:
Unbelievable price on mug. Ferrer cannot afford to slip up at all.

The thing about Ferrer's extremely rare offdays is that they come in the middle of great runs.
Last year, Ferrer had just won two tournaments in a row, beaten Dimitrov 6-2 6-2 in his first match at Indian Wells and then had a shocker against Istomin. Then he had a good Miami and won two DC matches at a canter before imploding against Bellucci - then the following week he pushed Nadal hard after getting to the final in Barcelona. You just can't see these error-strewn performances from Ferrer coming. |

hey harry thought u was a nfl man

How about this conspiracy theory:
In July 2012 Ferrer and Almagro played the final of the Bastad tournament. Surprisingly Almagro was seen out in a nightclub the night before the final and in the final Ferrer won easily 6-2, 6-2. And now Almagro seems to win surprisingly easy over Ferrer in Australian Open. Hypothesis: Ferrer and Almagro are close friends and what if they agreed to let Ferrer win the Bastad tournament if Ferrer promised to let Almagro win the next time they meet (which is today)... It is impossible to think that these highly respected players would do something like this, or what do you think? |
By:
here it comes!
By:
the end is nigh...
By:
ferrer fatigued is the only explanation
By:
or just a night man?
By:
bastad != slam qf
