everone abusing this stupid rule because its out of sense. whats the difference if nadal abusing it longer.abuse is abuse. its ridiculous rule and its initial sence is taken out of contekst because few players serves qiucker than others and trying to gain advantage

errrr nadal being stopped as well

"errrr nadal being stopped as well"
Malisse obviously feels that Nadal gets 45 secs when he gets 25 secs? So if players think this because umpires are weak to the big names, then put a rule in which is fair to everyone. Make it 45 seconds if it makes it more palatable to you Nadal fanboys. |
By:
Anyhow - doubt Nadal will come back, but would be good to stop Djokovic bouncing the ball 10 times each point.
By:
as java has said, give everyone the exact amount of time, be it 20 seconds, 30 or whatever but allow no advantage to anyone end of story no need to cry its that simple.
By:
It is pure gamesmanship by the top guys that do it. Why wouldn't they if the umpire doesn't pick them up on it?
Is it fair that the top guys can do it and get away with it and lower ranked players can't? Prob not. |
By:
No need to be a Nadal hater Java.
Rafa most certainly WILL be back at some stage. And look out once he regains match fitness! |

exactly why not take average of 100 players add 5 seconds and then make rule? only using average time of federer .because tv is pushing for it and trnnis fans shouldn't fall into it. no changes is the best way.
on thevother hand why not tell federer to wait 25 seconds before he serve so his opponent can get composure back? lol the one who has ball should dictate and thats it btw im old man notva fanboy, dont know even why its going on around nadal somehow, only because of haters i think |
By:
and lets stop this advantage- disadvantage bullsjt going on on this matter.everybody has the same. want to serve quick, serve quick but dont cry when on receiving end ffs
By:
this rule can only be fair if there is a time clock.
without time clock players won't be aware when they cross their time limit. |
By:
there was no change of the rule, only it is now more strictly enforced! rule is rule and has to be enforced, otherwise it's useless and should be skipped. I'm happy if it is enforced.
By:
lol nadal fanboys very upset clearly, well done atp
By:
Time clock is a ridiculous idea, it's irritating when commentators suggest it likes it's the perfect solution. Allowances have to be made..for longer points, longer crowd cheering, player slipping over etc. Just leave it to the discretion of the umpire, it's clear when someone is abusing the rule and deliberately taking longer (like Nadal every match).
Regardless nobody has had a point penalty yet have they? Nobody will, not in a big match or an important stage anyway and we'll gradually shift back to where we were last season in all likelihood |
By:
F Lopez had a warning and lost 1st serve this week.
By:
happened at least 3 times during berdych vs agut match...
By:
Nishi got point penalty yesterday, and it was a horrible one...first was when Dolgo changed racket off some reason Nishi got time warning he got pissed so next point he changed racket and got the second warning
By:
the time warning rule has to be more specific.
because of the current discretion of the umpire arbitrariness |
By:
yeah that was crazy, its just causing chaos instead of bringing more order, regardless of the opinion about the matter, i just cant imagine how it will can be fairly enforced without clock, and with clock every abuse would have to be explained by upire as i cant imagine situations where it can not be bended wide longer points.
its just ridiculous situation and should be leaved as it is because clearly it cant be solved without causing many stupid situation and confusion.its not that important after all ffs |

richie also got penalized today..
im telling you ,it wont last long hehe and will be swept under carpet soon again |
By:
monfils also was penalized ,saying that ball kid was slow with bringing him towel
, and at the end he said to umpire:"I'm Black so I'm sweating more" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this is hilarious, actually im becoming a fan of this hell yeah, lets bring comedy on the court again |

it's obvious Nadull has stressed the the rule violations far too much and he is the reason to enforce it more strictly. For Djoker bouncing the ball is a method of concentrating, and he has shortened the procedure over the years, while Nadull extended it more and more.
There may be exemptions on rare occasions (e.g. standing ovations, changing racket), but as a whole it should be enforced, and you get a warning 1st, so you know when to obey the rule strictly. |
By:
bbb666 time wise it takes twice more time to argue about penalty or warning to player and umpire that actually play the point. thANKFULLY ITS JUST A trial period for this rule being enforced harder so far doesnt look as it will last long
By:
huh???????????
what cheeky sod has got my post removed what did I say? All I said was that djoker bounces the ball too much he wears a hole in the ground - why would the moderator remove that ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
it's ridiculous how you argue against a rule being enforced, this mentality is the same that makes our society drown in corruption! Laws are laws and rules are rules, they have to be enforced! Once players know the rule is enforced they will obey it and there will be no reason for discussing it at length.

bb66 ( other username rome ) can you not stick to your Hans Christian Andersen thread
By:
Ha, I didn't hear the Monfils comment but that's hell funny! Flicked over and saw him arguing with the match referee blaming the ball kids.
By:
isn't that racism?
By:
yes bb66 he was clearly racist to himself lol
hehe monfils is a legend |
By:
Self vilification. Code violation, Mr Monfils.
