Ferrer the only one who appeared to really mean his congrats to Stepanek. What a character and player. Time for some beer
Glad to see my most fave player Stepanek win this. What a story. Day that he will remember forever. |

What an effort from Stepanek! Haven't seen volleys like that since Sampras!
(What about that diving effort in the 5th set?). Its great to watch. There should be more fast courts like this around. Who wants to watch 6 hours of boring slogging from the back court? |

didnt get chance to watch this or get involved unfortunately but had to laugh when i saw that Spains hopes were pinned on Almagro. I think Id be more inclined to trust a heroin addict with my house keys than I would Almagro to come up with the goods in a must win match. Have to feel a bit sorry for Ferrer really, must be frustrating to have such a liability for a teammate.

Nice gesture from the Spaniards who came at 5 in the morning to congratulate the Czechs on winning and Czech coach Navratil said that was the most beautiful moment of the celebrations.
Meanwhile - as you speak about Stepanek, this is how he looks after the final match - http://img.blesk.cz/img/2/full/1464148-img-sport-tenis-davis-cup-finale-cesko-spanelsko-radek-stepanek-tomas-berdych-tiskovka-video-koleno-krev.jpg That's how you fight for your own country. |
