why does he keep going cross court to set up MG for a simple volley? surely attempt down the line. it might go out, but theres a chance it could be a winner. a cross court shot will NOT WORK in any way
especially at pressure points, when he's 15-30 up, 0-30 up, and all those break points he's had. he could ahve put pressure on MG and caused him to commit many UE
both are playing defensively on their serves, but show some agression on the return
Headcase Simon will choke in this tie at some point 150% sure.

I have been so impressed with Granollers volleying, especially on big points, if he holds his head this should be comfortable set for MG
granollers last year was outstanding...the way he was flying around the court..his net play was awesome
i dont know if simon will get back in this. he's had his shine in the limelight in the 1st set

Simon is starting to control more of the rallies, just failing the last shots
imo this smells a wee bit too - Simon losing key points too easily and he's very casual and body language very little motivated (even for Simon...;-), MG has wanted this a lot more the whole match...smelly+ and Simon is not making this looking pretty as he heads home to prepare for Paris...
no motivation...he cant be bothered..quite clear...he hardly makes errors when he can be arsed...
afraid I may jinx it but even Granollers BH slice from base line is so accurate, I cant remember him missing a regulation slice shot
end of the day granoller open or not you still feel he will let simon have a chance
Simon may be upping his level at little from "truely Pathetic" to "pretty rubbish" but still fancy MG to hold his service games with his Big serve and serve/volley game
he hasnt dropped a single point this set on his 1st serve
he almost lost that rally, his positioning at the net approaches is not the best, leaves the court open for passing shots too often

i agree
he's been very luck today clipping the line with a millimetre or two on severtral occasions
that is why it is the granoller 500 open...inspired on this court
love it, MG was trading up at 7's when he lost a tight first set on tiebreak, value was too good to miss for a defending champion on home court, against a known MUPPET! :)
