Slow court helps big hitters???? Must admit I thought it would of been against them as a nice fast court allows them to hit more winners and plays to their strengths. I would have guessed that a slow court would force them to go for more and thus induce more errors.....But hey I know nothing so will shut up. Agree Petrova is a lay under 1.20

slower court allows big and slower wta players to have more time to hit the ball clean and therefore to hit less errors, on faster court big players struggle with timing more and are vulnerable thats why most big hitter plays very well indoors ,but there is also many other factors like bounce of ball etc
it all depends on overall set of skill and physical abilities for each individual player, so generalizing that bit slower court will help someone coz he has defensive skills its just bullsh1t. halep actually hasnt got good record indoors for example so it doesnt suit her "defensive skills "that much ,no?
im not going to reach far and for example quite solid i would say defensor like radwanska(probably the best around) actually prefers fasrter courts, and struggling on slower surfaces
