Barthel played way below her level but it has to be said that Flipkens was not average.

Report MSMCosta • September 16, 2012 6:49 PM BST
I cant see Flip win today. Hrad is playing like I haven't seen her in a while.

yes hard for me also
Report thepunter • September 16, 2012 7:23 PM BST
Odds wrong, should be reversed, Lucie favorite 1.8-1,9
Won their last encounter, more experience at this stage, better serve = more free points, if she brings the same power and precision than the last few matches, it could be an easy 2 setter, but probably it will go to 3 in the end. Flipkens knows she was already lucky to get so far with Cibu and barthel letting her escape.

The slice is extremely effective against a player with

a double-handed forehand.

Flipkens should win it.

Report bflame • September 16, 2012 7:51 PM BST
no way she wins this
Report Vasek • September 16, 2012 7:52 PM BST
All she needs is to forget about this set and fight like hell in the second. But I doubt Hradecka is mentally capable to do that.
Report thepunter • September 16, 2012 7:53 PM BST
Hopefully she can bounce back in the 2nd. Flipkens will start feeling the pressure and the cech has nothing to lose anymore.

Hradecka had her changes but mentally not strong enough.

even if flipkens loses her serve she still win tie break.

classic WTA, after wasting 656478392 chances to get ahead in this set, blows it away like a no brainer.

so why is everyone of flips opponents playing so bad against her this week? They can´t handle a basic slice?

I have never won a bet against Flipkens.

I really don't like her style but somehow she is able to get her opponent more playing against herself than playing tennis.
Report wasu • September 16, 2012 8:47 PM BST
just keeping the ball in play should get you to top50 at WTA level.
Report Joker SVK • September 16, 2012 9:17 PM BST
