I haven't seen The Flipper play to be honest but it seems she has benefited from the odd roll over. I have been watching Lucie Hardaker and am most impressed with her powerful thighs! I hope she hasn't peaked too early and might lay her back in lieu of the jitters at the end. She is carrying a big height and weight advantage. I like the price too so have jumped on. I will keep a close eye on double faults and twatting it into the net as signs of nerves.

Her style might not suit Hradecka but even so it's strange to have the Czech player odds against because she's been to 5 finals already whereas for Flipkens this is just the first one. It's hard to see Flipkens cope with Hradecka's serve if it's flying like it has been so far in this tournament.

It will be Flipper with her hands in the air after a tough match

Agree that Lucie has the power to destroy Flip but she has been pretty shocking in the four finals she has contested and lost so I am taking the view that nerves will mess her up again and the error machine that she is come to the fore and she hits the net, the backboards, the fans basically everywhere except the court and Flip strides away to win it in two.

Lucie wins it. She is ready.

The market is insane!!!!! Flip 1.81 / Hrad 2.2 LOL

Flipper is quite a good player why is her ranking so low? I am on Hardaker already though. The thighs win it for me in this instance however will be looking for the signs of panic. Might get a nice bounce if she bottles it. Holding some back in case she loses first set and will go in again. Hardaker hits the ball quite flat and I dont think Flipper wil be able to scamble against her. If the rallies go on though I might reconsider.

Hrad has been playing like i've never seen her in a long time.
Strong, precise, with the mind on the right place. Flip is a decent player, yes, but in my opinion she does many UE, many DF and she tries to return the ball wherever, waiting for the error. She dont risk it very much and those who don't can´t make the difference. |
By:
in general all flipper does just slice the ball and return it back to the player and wait for an error. dont think ive seen any other wta player who slices the ball as much as her. slice, slice, slice its irritating me cant imagine the players she is up against. having said that she is rightly fav here but cant back her cos she cost me sooooo much money this week i cant bring myself to put money on her. hope she loses but no bet from me.

By:
Danilidou also does nothing but slice.
By:
Problem with slicing against Lucie is that Lucie can hit winners better than Lucic or Barthel.
As for Cibulkova, I remain unconvinced that match was clean. |
By:
marin u r about to convince me to lay flippers. i really hope lucie does a fabrique belgique on flippers and flippers can leave the court crying like a little girl. whoever taught her to slice will visit purgatory im sure. little detour on the way the paradise. 6-0 6-0 come on hradecka...
By:
I think slice is a useful weapon against a flat hitter as long as she can keep it low and deep and also change the pace. Still on the Czech though!
By:
Monica Niculescu is all about the slice also.
By:
I don't think Flip has the mental strenght to win a Final.
By:
why is flipper FAV?
By:
i think the only reason flip is fav is that she knocked out the fav
By:
Barthel played like a rookie.
By:
Seems like most people on here are on Hradecka, which is good to know. If anything, the odds should be fifty-fifty, both players have the same chance, if Hradecka shouldn't be fav this time. She was already joking that it was time to win a tournament after some time again and that's a good sign. She might not be too nervous. I think the serve will be too much for Flipkens and Hradecka could break once in each set, so a 6-4 or 6-3 in each set depending on who is going to serve first.

she playedgreat against barthel or a choke job from mona?

By:
hradecka will win easy money

Market absolutely loves Flipkens

By:
backed lucie as think she will win the first set
By:
I cant see Flip win today. Hrad is playing like I haven't seen her in a while.
By:
yes hard for me also
By:
Odds wrong, should be reversed, Lucie favorite 1.8-1,9
Won their last encounter, more experience at this stage, better serve = more free points, if she brings the same power and precision than the last few matches, it could be an easy 2 setter, but probably it will go to 3 in the end. Flipkens knows she was already lucky to get so far with Cibu and barthel letting her escape. |

this one is way faster. |

The slice is extremely effective against a player with
a double-handed forehand. Flipkens should win it. |
