record 4-0 but last met 2 yrs ago. barto had great yr last yr but getting older maybe couldnt keep up two in a row.
bartoli has great tournament so far but with at least 2 tough matches, maybe knackered as the weather is taking tall on everybody.
sharapova rested after wimbledon, but scared a bit by petrova. i think she is beatable bartoli looks like very motivated and wont get easy brushed away amazingly solid during the rallies not making many errors. masha can crack under pressure if barto will be as relentless as against kvitowa.
masha lost last time in 3 setter during last us open to flavia. won 11 in a row since then
one is sure. they will show their arses as much as their faces to each other as both like to talk with the wall
masha 1.18 very skinny here

 Shouta dent of confidence and Marion boost might be ideal situation but before last R1 thought Marion far too erratic last weeks to put faith in though perhaps she was just lulling us into a false sense of insecurity. exceptional hitting by her last match but Kvi also let everything get to her and folded completely when she was down. Masha stays until the end i suppose if there's interruptions i fear they may play big part here. Marion needs to stay in the crazy zone. she does not need too much time to calm down and start thinking. |

i think it doesnt matter that bartoli was playing sh1te before,in her case she usually rolls in tournaments once in a while, and coming up with sudden form, fact she is in r4 atm proved she is in good form.
yes interruptions may take big part, but if she wants to stay in crazy zone,i would advise her to spend time with her father at those moments , that will do. this may be crazy match with screaming masha and bartoli doing other things like attacking ball kids with her racquet etc. but ive noticed she also started to squeak during points,so now she is a full package. |

already have scotch tape ready to not accidentally un-mute remote. ballkids drew straws to not have to do this one i'm sure. hopefully she brings her elastics too for complete circus (before last R1 = before R1... *) |

Is there a reason they don't believe in covers in the US? With this surface all you'd need to do is take them off and get going straight away again.

when they are drying the court, why dont they remove the net?

if you top it wit a cover the surface will be wet anyways due to condensation
in their routine thy do not need to take anything out(net) and just drying it out probably would take same time |

Bartoli does look a little deranged, Sharapova not playing great right now but I am hoping to get a price in running, managed to get 1.5 on Aza but looked dodgy at one stage.
If Stosur had won in the TB it would have been the proverbial LED ON LINE in racing terms... |

Head-to-head suggests odds are in favour of Sharapova but since they haven't played for two years and Bartoli is infuriatingly unpredictable, you just can't say with any certainty.
