I think Darlo doesn't understand the concept of trading. I think he just places his bet at the start and watches the whole match through. At least, that's what his posts suggests. Of course laying 1.06 makes you money no matter who wins the match in the end...

Totally wrong. But you can't just post 1.06 is a lay bet without clarification and then aftertime.

Darlo. Are you completely thick or just a troll? Scroll back through the posts and you will see I clearly stated I was laying Stosur at 1.06 because, as I said at the time, she had done enough to convince me that she could take the second set. I said that before the end of the first set!!

Aza's record this year from one set up is 47-0. Her match record against Stosur is 6-0. Her set record against Stosur was 12-0 and now 13-1. Those stats point to 1.06 being a value back. Those stats point to Aza being 1.12 to 1.16 SP. But I wouldn't back anyone at 1.06. No value in my strategy.

A couple of service holds from Stosur in this set will make Mr Market change his current view that she doesn't have a chance...

RememberJeremyBates • September 4, 2012 5:57 PM BST
Well, I've seen enough from Stosur since the rain break to tell me that 1.06 is a lay. Don't see why the market doesn't see it! 1.06 is the sort of price you would expect if Aza was a set and a break up...

Sorry, I've read through your posts and see that. If you have your own entry/exit points and strategy fair enough, but I read you simply thought 1.06 was a lay price not a lay-to-back price. We obviously aren't going to agree though.

Darlo just because you lay at 1.06 you are not betting on stosur to win the match. You don't seem to understand that. there are literally hundreds of opportunities to make better than a 1.3 return on BOTH players, so why would you back at 1.3 and risk losing a full stake?

Sorry but I count "lay price" and "lay-to-back price" as two very different things. Lay price is a bet. Lay-to-back price is a trade.

During parts of that run earlier this year she often did this.
