thing is - if he plays the singles and doubles matches tomorrow quite early and loses them both, he could still get to London late in the evening and be there for the Opening Ceremony (which I think he would want as an emotional and proud German). That would cost him a practice session or two, but hey...that's what happens when you go to Austria in stead of preparing on a surface you've done so well on this year...

imo Kohly's just there for the sponsor's agreement/starting fee, prioritising that higher than an optimal preparation for the Olympics. Money talks, end of...

What are the official olympic rules ? Does he have the obligation to appear in the opening ceremony as an athlete or not ? 1st round of olympics is played over 2 days.

I'm almost "sure" about it... Adidas wanted him to be in Austria too to show the Tshirts... and everything probably.... a plus is given by the main sponsor of the tournament.... "bet-at-home"..... they wanted him to play to raise up odience..... Laugh

we can be wrong but would you care more about kitzbuhel ATP tournament or Olympics games in London? another question can be: Will Kohli play next Olympic games?

No obligation. You'll be lucky to see a road cyclist for a start since the road race is early the next morning.

this is fast becoming a farce.. we are betting what might happen with regards to the olypmics and not the winner of a tennis match... joke market.

do't bet on these matches...it's guessing about Kohli's programs.... it has nothing to do with betting on tennis.....

dont know what to think about that match - backed Kohli at 1,78 because I cannot imgagine, that he can do at totally tank job here in two sets....but that rain sucks him maybe....

but you are able to get a better price *gg* - the question is, why should kohli not be able to win today against a mug and loose tomorrow against Veic? Then travell to London? Leave Kitzbühel tomorrow and he is in london alright and can also prepare fon grass

Dodders, if that question was to me - yes I think that he...ermmm...might not have a blood taste in his mouth to win his match. And I think we saw a lack of that blood taste and sharpness from Kohly in those first 3 games...

How can I be sure or very certain...? Of course, I can't. We've been speculation all day long and us Kohly layers got a great window to get out at around 1,90 kohly having laid 1,38 (first, I went back to 0 and layed 1,62 again). I'm out of this for a minor profit - it's dodgy), and I'm not going in again until the next clear tendency shows...

But without any over-interpretation: In a German online article two days ago, Kohly has said (while Haas is very very disappointed not to have been given a wc from the ITF) that "
- When you're there, I think you will get a goose bump feeling.

Well that is basically and hopefully the feeling I will have, so that I can maybe one day can tell anyone, my kids, will no matter who, about my experience".

source:  http://web.de/magazine/sport/sportmix/15845084-haas-35-ritt...ympia.html

Now, as clever punters on a very nice tennis site pointed out, that's what a player has to say out of diplomacy/communications tactics. Yet, Kohly strikes me as a person who wants to be in the Opening Ceremony under the German flag...

Just my 2 cents, hey I could be wrong - I've speculated enough for today. But tbh, I didn't like (but also very much liked..;-) that very unfocused start from Kohly including some very unsharp, unforced errors...

On a more technical point of view, this is the perfect moment to cover on backing kohli if you are an early layer. Chance he's not making look it too obvious and therefore holding serve, will bring odds back around 1,55-1,66. Otherwise, if he gets broken again, flip flop is guaranted, but at least you will have a clear sign to back balazs for the rest of the match. Basic rule here is dont get too much involved and split green as soon as possible (1/3 on Kohli 2/3 balazs).

People speculating after one service game. Hey are these the same people who back players into nearly 1.01 when they're a set up or even just a break up sometimes. No wonder you lose.

He shouldn't have entered this tournament if he wants to go to the opening ceremony. What day are the semis/final scheduled for?

if they decide to cancel play for rest of the day, when would such an announcement likely be made? i sort of have better things to do tonight than watch bad weather on my computer.
