Yeah I could really use some thoughts on this one, backed him @ 1.55 but I'm starting to regret it now

Its a match that if you bet on and lose you will be livid with yourself.
If Kohl wins, you will question why you laid a far superior player at 1.7. If Kohl loses, you will quesion why you backed a player who will go to London anyday soon for Olympics. |
By:
and the question is, will he tank the first match or is it too obvious?
By:
could be the easiest 1.6-1.7
By:
kohl won his doubles games after a fight, this not encourage the tank theory too much
By:
Surely there must be a well formulated reason... There still is tie before the OG, he does not have to lose in the 1st round
By:
Olympics start 28th July. If Kohl wins, he has one day left (assuming he loses next round) to get to London.
Kitzbuhel to Innsbruck/Salzburg or Munich takes 2-3 hours, flight to London 2hrs+cab drive. Basically no time to prepare. |
By:
I guess there is a big chance for Kohli tank.
Any thoughts about Haase btw? He also plays Olympics but won this tournament last year... |
By:
Best thing to do in this kind of situations is being patient.
Just watch the match. When one set is played everbody can see if Kohlschreiber is tanking. |
By:
he can win and then withdraw from the tournament. but i saw him tanking few matches BTW!
By:
Haase has a lot of points to defend.
He needs his points otherwise he will drop down in the ranking so I think Haase won't tank for Olympics. Besides Haas has no chance at a medal in London. |
By:
kohly has any chances?
By:
massive price
By:
He won doubles on Monday. Today is his last day in Austria anyway. Probably he wins then withdraws, probably just tanks.
By:
Why should he tank? He wins more money by winning doesn't he? He can always pull out after this match He might even look on it as a good warm up for the Olympics. I backed him at 1.62 and am prepared to lose the small stake i made at that price. At this moment he is 1.48. We shall see!!

In Tennis betting if something seems to good to be true then it generally always is. A price this high on kohlschreiber is a massive red flag, im keeping well away
By:
wouldnt take him much to win it though would it.
By:
for sure he didn't expect to win 1st rd doubleswith a partner selected from a PR-action from the tournament sponsor, which makes it even more tricky.
By:
kohlschreiber will probably retire a set down. not someone who is too worried about blatant tanking
clearly tanked vs seppi in eastbourne does he have some sort of deal with the tournament ref or the main sponsor this week? i guess he must do or he's just an idiot with a very low I.Q he had a great grass court season and is a good grass court player, is playing some of the best tennis of his life and at a career high ranking, has always been loyal to germany in davis cup so there's clearly some patriotism and loyalty there but he decides to play this week at altitude on clay very clever indeed |
By:
If he´s retiring during his match vs. Balazs he´s able to quit the doubles match in the afternoon and head towards munich airport
Price money is irrelevant for Kohli, he usually gets an appeareance fee (I reckon 50k-100k). Retiring AFTER a win against Balazs would be pretty bad sportsmanship imo. |
By:
most of the spectators of the tournament probably are Germans (tourists or coming across the border)
By:
for me kholn the winner if he play his tenis win
By:
after 2 days i make a small bet on kholn
By:
he will lose like against crivoi in gstad a few years ago 46 06
By:
it was last year now is 2012
By:
Chasers on Kohli arrived
By:
rain delay, kuggel cant risk winning it lol, what if he start the game, then rains starts to fall etc,i think he must lose it fast lol
By:
i m out with green 1 44 layed 1 39
By:
i don t like the rain
By:
nobody does, but even from logical point of view kuggel must end it today, either withdraw before it starts,or lose it fast, because rain can even prolong his misery here, and wimbie is just starting basically ,few days left
By:
Well market thinks hes going to do his best here. Heading back to starting price if this continues, they are tumbling over each other to back kohli
By:
backing kuggel imo is not logical,if kuggel stays here for next day it would mean he is going from here right on court in england without practice now on grass
By:
especially that rain is a factor here and it can additionally prolong any given match here
By:
and kuggel is 28 yo,it is his last olympics most prolly then
By:
forecast isn't great for rest of the day, he won't be chuffed if it's not played today or even heavily delayed
By:
well, lets hope it starts and they complete one set, later kuggel can retire anytime he wants
By:
mayer already tanked against bolelli, now its kuggel time
By:
I wonder if these tennis players read this forum...
By:
i doubt they care about what people write about them on betting sites lol
