the tragedy is he's so good but not good enough

has won as many slams as tim and greg who came close too but 10 times better Cry
Report YouTheMan July 9, 2012 8:19 PM BST

but now people who didn't like him, like him

he doesn't need the support of those *****

HAS THIS EVERY HAPPENED BEFORE , i didnt get anybody that may have critisized him before, or talking bad of him. I dont know him personaly, but having seen him on a few tv programs, he came across decent young chap, quite fun and likeable.
Report Has this ever happened before? July 9, 2012 8:28 PM BST
yeah only heard good things from those who have met him
Report Mr Eboue July 9, 2012 8:37 PM BST
A fair few people have said he's a really funny guy behind the scenes...

To be honest he's not a bloody comedian.... people shouldnt expect him to be a barrel of laughs.

Nadal is the same and even Federer and Djokovic are hardly Mr personality.

In 3 years time he should be at his absolute peak. I sincerely hope he wins a major as there are loads of players with half his talent who have one.
Report CherylCole July 9, 2012 8:39 PM BST
It would be great if he could get the US Open or Oz open under his belt before next Wimbledon.
Also give the Lendl setup a bit more time to develop.
The work on the serve is ongoing and Ivan will be able to iron out the other niggles that Murray can't see himself.

Federer I believe is genuine in his stated belief that Murray will win several slams.

Who is "we" ??? I surely dont love him
Report Has this ever happened before? July 9, 2012 8:47 PM BST
well yeah simply because he's better than most slam winners of the past 15 years

unfortunately he keeps playing greats at the top of their game
Report YouTheMan July 9, 2012 8:47 PM BST
I just think he got the run around be Federer too often. You cant scramble behind the baseline chasing down balls and exepect to win matches. He needed to be much offensive, maybe it was down to him that he couldnt dicatate the points more or Federer was just to good for him on the day.
Report YouTheMan July 9, 2012 8:48 PM BST
oh and his 1st serve to Federers backhand side was finding the middle of the net too often
Report sofiakenny July 9, 2012 8:54 PM BST
sets 3and 4 muzz serve was below 50%...he can improve that i think

the 2nd set result and the roof shutting knocked the wind out of him
Report CherylCole July 9, 2012 9:15 PM BST
No. Federer running him around like a rag doll was what knocked the wind out of him.

Something that Murray himself had managed to do to Ferrer with similar effect two matches beforehand.
Report Has this ever happened before? July 9, 2012 9:20 PM BST
nah he was close to 2 sets up

was playing brilliant but fed managed to hang in there and pull out 1 amazing game

when the roof shut, murray's serve disappeared

that's not down to physical fatigue
Report judorick July 9, 2012 9:37 PM BST
mentally weak

all his life he has been preparing himself to seize the moment and win a major title

on sunday it was right there and he needed to raise himself up, steel himself and damn well make sure he dominated the end of that second set as he had the rest of it

unfortunately he was unable, unprepared and unltimately too scared or incapable of overcoming the fear and nerves

for me it was a massive wasted opportunity

I really really wanted him to win but I dont love him because he is far too flawed - for me he should have won and bottled it

yes he was playing a great player but was more than holding his own and just needed to up his level and produce his best - that would have been more than enough
Report Has this ever happened before? July 9, 2012 9:40 PM BST
fed has only lost 1 wimbledon final

to his nemesis
