The only difference is that Kerber was performing outside
the top 10 and with her results over the past 6 months she
managed to get into the top 10.

I think that is a fair assessment kiwi, but it seems odd if thats the case then Kerber is favoured more for moving into the top 10 through good form than Aga moving into the top 5 and more through hers

noland2  her average 2nd serve is around 10 kmh quicker as well as 1st serve than yr ago and also 1st serve is much more reliable on quite high percentage.

in this tournament she gave nothing to her opponent ,beside moments when was raining (mostly against kiri) where ,i dont know why, her 2 nd serve was much slower, but her serve was great when dry(1st part of 1st set and ,3rd set under the roof-kiri got nothing on it)
as agnieszka says her weak serve its a myth ,and showed this against sharapova,biggest 2nd serve eater on tour. wasnt broken whole match

Aga is a very intelligent player. The results are there to prove it.
She has achieved tremendous success with her game.

But the bookies favour the power players v Aga.
Azarenka, Kvitova, Sharapova and Serena as well as Kerber
due to her recent form.

I am not saying that Aga cannot win. Of course not, she has
got the game to beat Kerber. But under normal circumstances
it is a very tough match-up for Aga. Her serve is so fragile.
If she gives away too many free points on serve, it means trouble.

Kerber is possibly showing some mental fragility, went into her shell a little in the tiebreak vs Lisicki and in 3rd set and nearly paid for it

Kerber can easily lose the plot during a match.

If you follow Aga that close you would know she has a hard time finishing points with a winner grounstroke especially if she has no pace to work with. So basicly if you feed her slow balls she can alomost never outhit you and thats when she just returns the ball back safely on the middle. Thats why some players out there simply know how to play and beat her and not only the tip ones but also players like Safarova or Cetkovska. Kerber knows her well and can take advantage of that, it's quite obvious. Her 1st serve is decent lately but the 2nd remains a liability. And no, they are not the same breed. Radwanska can't outhit anyone, Kerber can hit winners when is needed. Tough match anyway and I hope for a Kerber win.

she never outhit anybody.regardles which kind of ball she has to work with.but if u give her no pace ball u are cooked. she has best accuracy on the tour.she doesnt need to  finish points with powerful winner as she mainly try to out maneuver her opponent.

yes kerb and rad has simmilar stlye based on defence and counter attack at right moment, based on waiting for opponent to be out of position to hit the winner or tough shot,both have big variety of shots and are very intelligent players, mainly taking strenghts from positioning and quickness   difference is kerber is more powerful and rad have better touch an superior accuracy ,match play skills and mentality and she is quicker.but in this match up its difficult to separate them other daily display. but rad winner mentality and superior skills can be a factor here.rad is called by the coaches in the locker as professor(she is 1989)  yes i follow them closely for long time.
kerber find her way on grass recently but rad plays on this surface very well from a youngster, her experience in big matches will be also a factor. i think 2.4 is quite good price. lay kerber back her 2.6 free money.

i think biggest problem for angelika and big advantage for aga in this moment is that angelika started to play her way, she found her rythm she found out haw to suit her game on grass. and she will continue like that, she doesnt know other way to play grass. radwanska feeds on being stiff and having usual systems. in previous matchups it was kerber who tryied to beat rad and she was looking for the way, and rad doesnt like that intelectual battle she prefers to be superior on this ground,let others out hit, she will think

but i think kerber lost that recently rolling over other mugs and she will continue and would have to take her game up to rad's ass, but not many can

serena definetely will not destroy rad if in the final, she never played with this rad. azarenka has mental advantage but i always thought that if agnieszka will have to win again against vuvuzela it will be slam final

She plays a lot on the middle believe me, but that's a part of her tactics because it's harder to open angles from the middle.

I still believe the no pace ball with a decent lenght is a good strategy against her. If I was a coach that's how I would suggest my player to play her: long balls with not so much pace until there is an opening of some kind and the go for a bigger or angled shot at the right time. Radwanska can't generate much power on her own especially on the forehand, wich I think she has bad technique on but that's just an opinion. I think i'm gonna send a message on facebook or something to the next 50-100 player that will play against her and give her this tip some players look like they actually don't know their opponents.

I know Kerber very well, she's in my favorite list before the Us Open run and I can tell you there's quite a special feeling to see a player you like going from top 40 to top 100 and then to top 10 with good GS results. I'm obviously biased and won't bet much on this one maybe not at all  but when i give opinions about tactics and stuff I try to be impartial. Go Kerber

you r right she hes very unique technique on forehand but i found that  tennis pundits find it quite difficult to judge as she is not generate that much power but she is NEVER late on the ball and very accurate ,painting the lines always on the inside out one ,and ball placement is more crucial than pace ,also can hit all sort of technical shots with forehand especially great stoppers or dropshots( which one against kiri from deep rigt corner to left corner just  behind the net touching the net won actually this match) forehand fake dropshot to the baseline ,old time classic,no one hits that(maybe murray can)

good luck to you mate, i love kerber she is my fav as well and i recognized her for a long time always knew she will make it like she did,was always puzzled why she is 50's or so before injury she gave many glipses of gret play.i loved her first time i watched her,big potential she can develop her ofence azarenka like ,very similar base.said that many times before she were recognized

also no pace ball strategy is good strategy to play cat and mouse game but believe me it not that easy to execute as you risking a lot either you can hit out or leave no pace super easy ball into the middle and you are dead. i f player is not doing that on regular basic you can tell to him to try to totally change its game ,especially if player hasnt got big experience on grass court, yes rad won generate much power but her usuall ball placement will kill your strategy straight away.mind you kerber usually feeds on the pace as well and then she is very accurate but hiting her own pace balls she trying to do this mainly when see the opening and doesnt have to be accurate.

even sam smith said once the other day that the boys who paint the lines hate raddy as after her  match they always have big work to recover them

About the middle thing... She does return serve a lot on the middle does she? Of course she is not playing middle rallies like the amateurs and tries to put angles especially if there is time or the ball is high but she goes for deep middle shots quite frequently if you ask me.

They only choose spectacular angled rallies and winners on the highlights but there are some points on this one where you could see what i mean about the matter:

The "proper" one was the one  I firstly checked to make my point but didn't work so I picked a beatdown by Aza. Fair play

Of course she can hit long angled shots very well, has variety, finesse etc. She is not my favorite but I appreciate her game and i bet on her quite often, last time against Kirilenko at 6-5 in the final set around 1.70
