aga should be fave
|
|
By:
Based on 2012 form, Kerber should be favourite.
Aga found it tough going against Kirilenko. Therefore, she will find it much tougher against Kerber. Aga's second serve will be a real problem in this match-up |
|
By:
Aga has just as good 2012 form
![]() |
|
By:
based on 2012 form
aga won 42 matches = 6 time starting 2nd round losing to pironkowa(suspicious tank ) kuzniecowa , cetkowska azarenka6 timeswon 3 titles icluding premier mangatory masters miami vs shartapova also dubai and brussels kerb won 45 matches losing to penneta barhel sharapova pironkova azarenka jie zheng kvitova na li errani paszek won her 2 first titles paris kopenhagen |
|
By:
but what is really matter its the matchup between them 2 imao
besides that lets say both have been great form this yr |
|
By:
aaronh
;[p Yes, you are both right in your opinion. The only difference is that Kerber was performing outside the top 10 and with her results over the past 6 months she managed to get into the top 10. That, in my opinion, is the reason why the bookies favour Kerber. Thanks |
|
By:
2nd serve of Aga gonna get its @ss-hole eaten
![]() |
|
By:
made mistake
rad won 43 matches (plus 6 starts form 2nd round)+ 4-0 fed cups kerb 44 + 2-1 fed cups |
|
By:
yes kiwi u r right
but rad started no8 this yr and moved to no 3 atm whitch is no less significant ![]() if u observe patterns of movement in top 100 |
|
By:
I think that is a fair assessment kiwi, but it seems odd if thats the case then Kerber is favoured more for moving into the top 10 through good form than Aga moving into the top 5 and more through hers
|
|
By:
noland2 her average 2nd serve is around 10 kmh quicker as well as 1st serve than yr ago and also 1st serve is much more reliable on quite high percentage.
in this tournament she gave nothing to her opponent ,beside moments when was raining (mostly against kiri) where ,i dont know why, her 2 nd serve was much slower, but her serve was great when dry(1st part of 1st set and ,3rd set under the roof-kiri got nothing on it) as agnieszka says her weak serve its a myth ,and showed this against sharapova, biggest 2nd serve eater on tour. wasnt broken whole match |

kerber will destroy poor aga girl... poor poor girl aga after this match...

I agree with you aaronh.
Aga is a very intelligent player. The results are there to prove it. She has achieved tremendous success with her game. But the bookies favour the power players v Aga. Azarenka, Kvitova, Sharapova and Serena as well as Kerber due to her recent form. I am not saying that Aga cannot win. Of course not, she has got the game to beat Kerber. But under normal circumstances it is a very tough match-up for Aga. Her serve is so fragile. If she gives away too many free points on serve, it means trouble. |
|
By:
Kerber is possibly showing some mental fragility, went into her shell a little in the tiebreak vs Lisicki and in 3rd set and nearly paid for it
|
|
By:
Kerber can easily lose the plot during a match.
Not only on one but on several occasion. This is why I said a few months ago that as long as Kerber can talk to her coach during a match, she will be fine in tight situations. However, when things do not go her way at a GS match, then we have a different situation. She is fragile mentally. Her brain cells need refreshing from time to time. Like on a computer when you refresh a page ![]() |

heh
thing is bookies had aga 1.1x for whole yr in most matches, and sudenly she is 2.4,because of kirilenko match, who made great improvements(took shaza to 3 as well) but belive me THE RAIN was a huge factor there and rad is 50% in rain.if no rain it would be 6-1 6-3. belive me. its a little joke but happy joke this price. i know both players very well for a long time.trust me . i didnt set this fred to convince anybody to back rad,i say LAY HER. no problem for me. but there is so many lyths as her style is unusual, same comes to andzelika , they both the same breed , rtad serve is NOT AN ISSUE |
|
By:
lyths = myths
i say match is 60% rad - 40 % kerb |
|
By:
i would say angelique serve is an issue in this match up
|
|
By:
Kerber didn't go mental in 2nd set TB. Lisicki made some fantastic job to win that TB.
AGA can't do that stuff. |
|
By:
lol please dont compare lisicki mug to radwanska please
if it would be rad playing in center court, sabine would cry after 2 sets NAP |
|
By:
If you follow Aga that close you would know she has a hard time finishing points with a winner grounstroke especially if she has no pace to work with. So basicly if you feed her slow balls she can alomost never outhit you and thats when she just returns the ball back safely on the middle. Thats why some players out there simply know how to play and beat her and not only the tip ones but also players like Safarova or Cetkovska. Kerber knows her well and can take advantage of that, it's quite obvious. Her 1st serve is decent lately but the 2nd remains a liability. And no, they are not the same breed. Radwanska can't outhit anyone, Kerber can hit winners when is needed. Tough match anyway and I hope for a Kerber win.
|
|
By:
she never outhit anybody.regardles which kind of ball she has to work with.but if u give her no pace ball u are cooked. she has best accuracy on the tour.she doesnt need to finish points with powerful winner as she mainly try to out maneuver her opponent.
she never returns ball into the middle if its easy or slow ball with no pace, lol. thats her bigger strenght , lengh of her shots which r landing close tho the baselie ,always . if not she loses a point .simply. how do you think she win her matches,by sticking ball it the middle.?? yes kerb and rad has simmilar stlye based on defence and counter attack at right moment, based on waiting for opponent to be out of position to hit the winner or tough shot, both have big variety of shots and are very intelligent players, mainly taking strenghts from positioning and quickness difference is kerber is more powerful and rad have better touch an superior accuracy ,match play skills and mentality and she is quicker.but in this match up its difficult to separate them other daily display. but rad winner mentality and superior skills can be a factor here.rad is called by the coaches in the locker as professor(she is 1989) yes i follow them closely for long time. kerber find her way on grass recently but rad plays on this surface very well from a youngster, her experience in big matches will be also a factor. i think 2.4 is quite good price. lay kerber back her 2.6 free money. . winners/ errors against rybarikowa 18/16 ryb 14/18 (6-3 6-3) vesnina 16/0 ves 16/18 (6-2 6-1) watson 8/6 wat 13/19 (6-0 6-2) giorgi 11/6 camila 28/30 (6-2 6-3) kirilenko 36/22 kiri 52/30 kerber hradecka 12/9 hrd 15/29 makarova 26/11 maka 26/17 mchalle 22/21 mc 14/22 clisters19/5 kim 10/13 lisicki 19/13 sabine 57/50 rad vs sharapova good opinion mate, more opinions please ![]() |
