ricky there's nothing to talk about, it's very simple. if you constantly get 2/1 for what in your judgement should be 6/4 shots, obviously you wont win every bet, but eventually you will make a profit because your winning rate will be better than 2/1.

Ricky - you say you don't consider value but you made a perfect pre game call that Murray at 1.5 was not good value. Therefore i'm assuming you either laid him or backed Ferrer (i haven't read the whole thread). Therefore that is what you classed as 'value' and is so far proving to be correct.

Anyway enough talk about value.

I think most people struggle with value because you can never judge whether an individual bet was value or not. It wins or loses whatever the price. The only way for a better to gauge value is his long-term profits/losses with a sensible betting strategy.
