Pffft. Kirilenko backers can't have much faith in her if they think a rain suspension while she's marginally ahead means she's a cert to lose

CherylCole , she just found a groove on serve , it's very hard to find from scratch.

Why on earth can't they hang around and play on centre court at the conclusion of Aza-Pasza? Makes no sense at all..
By:
i guess cos they've been there all day already and no guarantee there will even be enough time for them to finish before the dreaded 11pm off if azarenka match goes to 3 sets

kirilenko is the value here

Three hours to go yet, so there's every chance they'd get at least an hour on court. A little more waiting isn't going to hurt Rad and Kiri. It's not like there won't now be plenty of waiting for them to do tomorrow!
By:
they don't want to have to send them home at 10pm and then have to come back for midday start. fair enough
By:
agreed mafeking. can't fault the organizers for this decision.
i just hope kiri maintains her form for tomorrow. not sure she will ever get a better chance to make a slam semi. |
By:
Well if it was me, I'd certainly want to take the risk. I'd be very keen to have everything done and dusted tonight, if possible, so that tomorrow was a day of complete rest (or whatever I wanted to do with my day off). As it is, they've got to go through all of their mental preparations etc. tomorrow. If they're lucky, they may be finished mid-afternoon. But by the time they get back to their accommodation, they'll only have a few hours left in which to relax before the end of the day.
I'd be really keen to avoid all that, particularly given that the Aza match is likely to be done and dusted in two sets, and so there's every chance Rad and Kiri will have a 90 minute window in which to complete their own game. Should be plenty enough time. |

By:
just got home.. is it possible they will finish tonight? if not, when will they play tomorrow? thanks
By:
Just been announced on BBC they will finish after the Paszek/Azarrnka match, no matter what time it finishes
By:
very nice.. go kiri
By:
Oh good. That makes an awful lot of sense. I couldn't see the point of not even trying to finish it tonight.
