NO

radwanska played bad match but she played quite well until rain came.

ive noticed before when is wet she cant trabsfer defence to attack because she is slightly slower and i was seen during  hte rain.
she was only pushing balls but you could see that she was trying attack net etc but it was difficult

totally different on the centre court she was chasing all balls and then could came up with attacking shots

if she would played on cc this match would be quite easy for rad, like firs set till the rain breake

she played bad match but i will give you advice guys, dont bet against her vs kerber if they will play in dry conditions or on cener court. good advice

Sneaked on after Aza, Darlo.  Even if the rain had stopped, it would be darkness out there now, so they could only ever have played on CC at this time.

I hope you're right. Was very impressed with her today until the final game. Chances to reach a semi in a slam though are rare though, cause quite often she'll run into a Serena, Kvitova or Azarenka in the 4th round.
Report Darlo Bantam July 3, 2012 9:59 PM BST
So despite all the criticism they managed to get all the singles games played today. And more importantly to me, the green I'd accrued earlier has just pushed me through £100 for the second consecutive day.

yeah kiri looked good but in wet conditions her serves and shots were unpickable ,ball was heavy and was skiding on grass. not much so in first set and  on center court but im imresed with kiri improvement, she is moving forward serve looks ok hope she will only progress
Report Cic July 3, 2012 10:03 PM BST
imo kerber will breeze thru arad and aza should kick serena's fat ass if she's not too respectful, the final should be very interesting and i suspect aza's odds will be way too low so a great chance for trading in play

Maria's serve was by miles the best it has ever been on the Wimbledon grass.
There's no reason to think that the very top players are impossible walls for her any more.

She has always had the desire.  Her problem used to be simply not having the weapons to deal with them but that is definitely changing.

kerber has most wins this year, she's a much more well-rounded player than arad , doesn't choke easily (today was her worst match).. what can i say, it's your money
Report Cooee July 3, 2012 10:22 PM BST
They did make it sound as though it had all been called off for the day. Didn't the umpire even announce on court that the match would resume the next day?  I'm not sure they should have been that definite, since they were clearly considering putting the match on CC later on - Radwanska said she was told they might resume later on CC almost as soon as she had walked off the court!
Report Cooee July 3, 2012 10:24 PM BST
Kerber may well learn from today's salvaged choke. Hopefully that'll put her in good stead for the SF.

kerb won 2 titles

I'd say Kerber is weak mentally. And I don't know why but I think it comes from her coach. She battles too much with herself and her doubts than the opponent. I'd make Radwanszka a decent favourite here.
Report Cic July 3, 2012 10:38 PM BST
kerber has made an awful lot of progress THIS year. that's how she came to be no 8. arad on the other hand is on the decline. my prediticion however is based on what i have watched both do and kerber is very convincing. as for mentally weak, obviously you haven't watched her

Report Darlo Bantam July 3, 2012 10:40 PM BST
Cic. I've seen her quite a lot these last six months. I think she's potentially a very good player. But I do have serious doubts about her psyche but the reason I think her coach is partly to blame is because I'd say it was an easy fault to improve. It's merely my observation and I've no idea whether I'm right or not. It's a matter of opinion.

I'm no Radwanska fan but that's tosh. She's had a fantastic year.
Report Cooee July 3, 2012 10:42 PM BST
Radwanska has won 6 titles over the last 12 months to the mere 2 of Kerber. And Radwanska has done pretty well once she's got to the final match of tournaments.   Kerber, in contrast, is still looking to establish herself as one of the very best. So, yeah, Radwanska has more 'knowledge' of how to unlock these big matches.

Whether that translates into a psychological edge in a Slam SF, though, is another matter.  Kerber may well have too much on the court for Rad, and if she can gather confidence from coming through today's match, she could be the one to beat. Radwanska is a clever little player, though, and might think more clearly than her opponent.

kerber is very emotional she often loses her games form 40-0 40-15 but she can often comeback quickly to the match from mental journey like from 5-0 down in setExcited

i think past few matched blured whole image a bit, kerber easy win over clisters( but clisters definetely no fit and her serve way off the usual pace) beating lisicki who beat sharapova etc etc
(remember sabine crying to not to be bageled by rad couple months ago)
rad last two matches were bit ugly at some points but as i said because of wetness and heavy ball . wet grass taking off all rad advantages like quickness and ability to turn from deep defense to offense  , to chase all balls to hit witty passing shot etc etc.
against kir she started very well with break points on every her service game, and was untouchable herself on serve. rain is huge disadvantage for her as she hasnt got pacy shots and her mobvement is being limited and her movement is her weapon
so the match became very scrappy but under the roof it was different again kiry shots wasnt looking that quick anymore and she holded easly herself

this match will be 50-50 as kerb is smart player who can play similar game to rad, but i think rad can win it because for me she is looking strong at normal weather conditions and kerber will not have any pace to feed of rad

but their matches always epic must admit

....and they best friends, how you wouldnt look at itExcited

it will be very very very emotional game of chess
Report Cooee July 3, 2012 10:48 PM BST
Kerber has been playing well, and has beaten some decent names in McHale, Clijsters (well past her best, I know), and Lisicki, the woman who beat the world number one..   Radwanska has beaten, erm, Kiri.  Kiri's a very proficient player, but she's hardly a world beater.   I suspect that's why Kerber's the fave.

Mind you, Radwanska has more real form in her locker this year.

Report Darlo Bantam July 3, 2012 10:50 PM BST
That's not really A-Rad's fault though is it? You can only beat what the draw gives you and she's dispensed of those games she's had.
Report Cooee July 3, 2012 10:55 PM BST
Well the markets often focus on who appears to be having the best run in a tournament. And, on that score, Kerber's run has been more impressive.   No, that's not A-Rad's fault.   But then, it shouldn't really matter a thimble to A-Rad whether the markets make her fave or not.  She'll go out there and, if she's good enough, she'll win. The markets should have very little to do with it.

Report Darlo Bantam July 3, 2012 11:05 PM BST
I think Aza is overrated and is/was a poor number one, but 2.42 is laughable.

As for, A-Rad, I think the only way she won't trade as favourite at some point, is if she loses the first set and is always behind in that set, and doesn't get at least a break up in the second. Otherwise, the nature of WTA matches, she'll trade below 2 at some point. Even if for only that simple profit, the 2.2 on offer now is tasty.
