He looked poor in last round. He was so desperate to beat djoko on clay he has sacrificed his game for other surfaces.
He also does my head in with his time wasting.

Garner calling a let on Rosol's ace when Nadal wasn't ready was one of the most despicable things i've seen on a tennis court, it probably will get forgotten about by most people in the madness of the result, but I found that shocking.

Used to be a fan of Nadals but his behaviour in the last 2 years has got worse and worse
He barely looked Rosol in the eye at the end, and just about shook his hand briefly
Surely someone who has won so much in the game as Nadal, could be a bit more courteous to someone who is probably experiencing his one big moment of glory in his career

louie He needs to enter Bastad, Gstaad and Hamburg this year to get some wins to keep his confidence up. Otherwise, it's April next year until he finds his best form, as usual.

he pushed the best player on the planet to 5 sets in the aussie open won the french and has been beaten by a man who has had the game of his life. he will recover for the hard court season and I still think he's the only man that can challenge novak at the US at the end of the season.

So you say he pushed Novak to 5 sets in Oz and that makes him the only man who can challenge him at he US... did you forget about certain Swiss bloke who got even closer to beating him at the US 2 years in a row?

There's no reason why Nadull can't win another 7 Carking Cups in Paris to be realistic, if he can bother being motivated to do it.
He'll also still continue to benefit from spineless umpires who turn a blind eye to time wasting and gamesmanship.

4 won ( Roland Garros included ) 3 semifinals ( Miami withdrew before facing A. Murray cause of knee troubles) 1 time runner up ( Aussie Open ) lost to Verdaco on blue clay fold vs Kohlschreiber lost a match to Rosol
yes.... he should retire..... you are amazing at times.....should he retire cause you lost money on him?
why the hell should world number 2 retire? He played 11 tournaments this year:4 won ( Roland Garros included )3 semifinals ( Miami withdrew before facing A. Murray cause of knee troubles)1 time runner up ( Aussie Open )lost to Verdaco on blue clayfol
bb66 he has gone close to win Aussie a couple months ago... he doesn't surely leave ONLY on his clay domination, cause just like stats say he played semis and finals even in non clay tournaments... and this year at Australian Open, Aussie open is not on clay, is it?

Besides, now that his ranking is slipping he can no longer get plumb draws, so he'll have to beat Fed AND Novak to win (not happening on hard court). Normally he gets Murray or someone like Youzhny (lol) in the SF while Novak and Fed soften each other up in the other semi.

Petr that's still not a good reason for retire from tennis.... and I won't back Djokovic or Federer when they play Rafa, never on any surface... just like I won't back Rafa vs Djoko or Federer... Good Luck everybody... pointless discussion this one imo... and pointless thread too...

Of course he shouldn't retire - this is just a funny troll thread, probably in response to all the "should Fed retire" threads that pop up when he loses in a semi-final.

ricky dont mind them...they are just haters..I mean as far as I remember at AO he defeated federer in semifinal...everyone can have a bad day and we all know that he has problems against big server****s, remember Isner at FO and Petschner at Wimbledon..it is not really as big as a surprise..Altough I like Rafa I layed him yesterday at 1,02 prematch only because rosol has 2 m. I traded out after the 3rd set but it wasnt such a big surprise imo..anyway he will come back stronger

when, where, and stronger to which reference? Many open questions, nevertheless I would hold the bet.

He has come back stronger a couple of times before when he seemed to be on the wane
Particularly after a break where he can get 're-energised'
Wont play for ages now, so plenty of time for his team to 'work on him'

Just more evidence that Nadal is as bad as anyone when it doesn't go his way, no doubt the clueless mugs will still maintain he's the perfect sportsman

The bloke is filth, persistent time violations, consistent illegal coaching from Toni, fake injury time outs, attempting to cheat hawk eye, the moaning about conditions at the French and now kicking up as fuss and bumping into a player ranked 100 attempting to intimidate him. Shameful behaviour
