Be great if they actually show some tennis.
By:
I was just going to say, I find it staggering that they think we prefer watching this sh1t as opposed to Ivanovic v Goerges.
By:
Shocking is too nice a word for it.
By:
Finally. 21 minutes and 37 seconds in they manage to find some tennis. They've had all morning to talk about the tournament, not during play ffs.
By:
GARBAGE was too mild a word, so please accept my apologies..
By:
haha sounds like aussie broadcasters when there are aussies in the field....great they are all out by the 2nd round

Why do BBC put Wimbledon Today on at 8pm to show that days highlights when they have live tennis still being played. Put it back to 9pm or later. I noticed they scrubbed it to show all of the Rosol v Nadal match

8pm is fine. The Wimbledon organisers know all matches will long be finished if they start at an early time like 1pm, even if, god forbid, not all the matches are straight sets.
By:
What's peeeeesed me off is when they keep switching some of the main matches from red button to main channel, removing them from red button at the same time - and vice-versa -occasionally with lengthy waits before they actually appear. Haven't those options always remained on RB regardless of whether they were on the main channels prior to this year?

Is there any chance the BBC will lose Wimbledon coverage too? Think this would be a good thing as their coverage, like all their sports coverage, is tired, stale and one big gravy train for all their favourite presenters, many of whom are former failed British tennis players who never even won a Slam like Castle, Henman, Lloyd and Petchey, ant the king of smug smarminess Inverdale.
Mind you, the Beeb's archaic coverage suits the Wimbledon organisers and schedulers who are an archaic mob. They regularly ruin classic matches on Court 1 by insisting on starting at 1pm despite loads of rain being around, resulting in the last game being suspended at a key moment. On 'People's Saturday' we are supposed to applaud roundly at all the showbiz glitterati/hangers on who get to see it for free and sachmooze in the Royal Box. Apart from the price of tickets being extortionate, how do you get a seat in one of the show courts? You have to kip the night in a tent, get up at the crack of dawn, and finally, when you get to the gates - invariably after play has already begun - some grey old suit slaps a sticker on you saying, 'Well done, you queued at Wimbledon'. They may as well instead stick one on your forehead that says, 'You are a c*nt'. |

Have a small wager on Azarenka for the whole tournament so pressed the red button for her game - you press 1 for full screen and the sound disappears!

Interview with Lucic as Williams moves into a first set tiebreak....
By:
Oh, its on BBC1 too! i suppose i should take that back.
By:
STOP FACKING CHANGING THE RED BUTTON MATCHES YOU UTTER CAAAAANTTS.
just leave on the same match for its duration. |
By:
truly dreadful in every way
had to watch Kohli Rosol on the website which was a good 10 seconds delayed from the TV snippet Sue talked over at 7-6 in tiebreak gob****s: inverdale, castle etc |
By:
it was pretty special when they were wanking on about brian baker this morning in the first half hour of the main program when they don't show any tennis, but the guy was actually playing his match
mind boggling. this red button switching is driving me nuts though. it's almost as though they're trying to prove just how much sh1tter they are than sky. |
By:
it's actually pretty incredible, given that the digital switchover is largely complete, that they don't use bbc3 and bbc4 during the day to allow them to start their coverage at 11, dish out the chit chat for 35 minutes and then switch to the fecking tennis when it starts.
you can show Saturday kitchen and Homes under the facking hammer on the additional channels. |
By:
Aren't they having something like 25 simultaneous streams for the Olympics?
By:
roddick ferrer has started, and the bbc are advertising it
muppets |
By:
I was annoyed when I turned the radio on earlier to find them commentating courtside about Murray's practice session with Golding while there were matches going on they could have been talking about.
By:
Why have an interview with Federer and miss the beginning of the Roddick match?
By:
what's even worse is the little **** advert they prepared for it. then they were showing it when roddick was breaking
useless |
