Yes, it is a much more attractive bet, 1.73 for a straight sets win. Sarah is having the time of her life. A great, great competitor and she will again give her best. No way, she is going to be tired after the doubles. Maria SP at 1.28 is low, of course, but I just cannot find any reason why these odds should go up in particular during the first set. Maria will be relentless and I doubt that there could be a shift in momentum in the second set. I know I have been bloody wrong in the past on more than one occasion. Good luck to all of you. |

Nerves will get the better of Errani from the start, imo, and Shazza will run away with it.

If it is windy that might play havoc with pova's serve/ball toss.
Anyone know the weather forecast? Could be important |

I'd love to lay her

anyone laying her prematch who intends on watching the match and can bet in play is absolutely bonkers.
christ, anyone laying her prematch and going and walking the dog for the match is still of questionable mind. give errani her dues, she deserves to make it to a qf, hell even a semi once or twice in her career. she has no business being in a grand slam final though. she has been very lucky. you would expect her to have won her opening two rounds, and she then put in her best performance of the tournament to beat squeaky in three sets, fully deserving to go through to the second week. from there, however, it's been a lot of fortunate breaks. kuz kindly eliminated radwanska and then played like a prize donkey in the 4r gifting her a QF place. kerber was a thoroughly ordinary, with a particularly horrible second set. stosur crumbled under the weight of expectation, errani was solid, but had that been anything other than a SF or Final, it would have gone the way of the second set in two quick sets. her price here reflects who's she beaten not how she's beaten them. had this been a R1/R2 match it would be more like 1.18. Given inevitable early 1st grand slam final nerves, any opening a prematch position for a trade needs their head examining: masha will almost certainly race out to an early lead. |

I concur with the sentiments being echoed around this wonderful establishment that is the betfair tennis forum.
We know what to expect from Sharapova... natural winner, really tough mentally, big serve and has speed, agility & class when it gets in to rallies. Anyone who has watched Errani's last match yet are laying Sharapova need to remember that Errani choked having won the first set when the expectation and pressure was on her to finish the job. Towards the end of the 2nd set she almost just threw it away and if there's any hint of that attitude against Sharapova, even if it's at 40-0, then that spells danger. She must fight for every point to stand any chance of winning. I think the occasion will get to Errani. All she had to contend with against Stosur was a big serve and a whole bunch of UE's which gifted her victory, but imo she wasn't convincing. Sharapova will match her energy levels and I think she'll just be outclassed by a better Tennis player if Sharapova is anywhere near her best. |

Btw, i think best bet is Sharapova in 2 sets. I don't really see trading opportunity here... i can see Errani holding serve first couple of games but can't see her breaking Sharapova.
|
|
By:
This is WTA, to say you can't see someone being broken is a joke

Damn aussie doesn't allow bet-in-play in betfair! ffs

Hope Shara completes the set, but I think Errani is a real threat. A small Lay of Shara at 1.3 for me.

me, the queen, even elton .. we've all gone in prematch on shara, and we've all gone in hard ... no time to muck around here, and definitely NO TIME for perverts ... so if you are one, make sure to cover your eyes at the appropriate times

500 on maria for me @ 1.3, also have a nadal/masha double for 600 at 1.61, GL ALL

having said this........ i remember when serena was 1.2 against stosur in the US open and lost and stosur was 1.2 against franny in the french open and lost! Anything can happen
|
|
By:
stosur 1.2 against franny was a joke, people who followed franny throughtout that tourney knows she can trouble stosur, US open was a shock, the price factors stosur's potential choke and also serena's clutchness and home support
