hi guys i backed djoker at 1.53 to win against seppi. The odds went upto 2.00 great value for any punter. The question is can monaco push nadal to a 4 or possibly 5 setter?????
People who trouble nadal on clay (other than djoko and fed) are usually those with a big serve, i.e soderling, isner, etc. because they get quite a number of cheap points on serve. "clay court specialist" AKA grinders will pose no problems because they are all nadal's shadows or a poor man's nadal. I would consider monaco a grinder, together with people like ferrer, chela, monaco, etc. So to answer OP's question, NO i don't think so, i predict 3-0 nadal but the 3 sets will probably last as long as an average 5 setter lol

I feel Monaco is playing really well. He may be a grinder but some of these tennis matches are surely fixed. @YYYY well i was thinking of backing 3-1 nadal i am not considering which set there is option to bet nadal 3-0,3-1,3-2

Monaco is a very serious clay court player. He is no mug. Few people pay attention to him, and few people rate him highly. Just because he has not got the name(s) we like to hear.
We only talk about Nadal, Djokovic and Federer and sometimes we say a few words about Berdych, Del Potro, Ferrer and Murray.
Djokovic nor Federer have been impressive so far. Both continue to make the same silly mistakes, have their own lapses of concentration. They don't really look hungry. They walk clumsily from one side of the baseline to the other. They plod and they rumble along. They certainly do not look like kings on clay.
Berdych and Del Potro are classy performers on clay. They match up very well against some top players and much less against some others. Their chances to win RG are therefore rather small.
I like to watch Ferrer. What a competitor. He loves the game. It is pitty that he has not got the serve of a Berdych or a Del Potro. I regret that very much.
Murray is Murray. Lots of talent but he looks so bored. And you cannot win RG playing defensive tennis. No way.
Then you have Nadal. You love him or you hate him. When Federer sees him stride and bounce on court prancing joyfully as if he was dancing and skipping, Federer has already lost the first set without having even played the first point.
Djokovic cannot handle Nadal in his present state of mind. As simple as that.
Monaco v Nadal, yes it is going to be a very entertaining match.
Have a kiwi and be happy

The simple answer to the question is.....NO. Not a chance. Rafa may get a tough match in this tournament somewhere down the track...but that wont be here.
